He was terrifying, strict, and blunt but he was one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is able to push his students as far as they can go. He knows exactly what he's talking about.
Terpstra is gone now. He was by far the meanest teacher I ever had, but also one of the clearest and most dedicated. Good or bad, he is truly a CHS legend
The only people who hate Terpstra are the slackers. He actually cares if u succeed and he's just mean if he sees that ur not giving ur all. He's the best teacher I've ever had!
Here's a class where you can always try your harderst without ridicule of being an "overachiever." I will really miss our CHS landmark, Mr. Terpstra.
Mr. Terpstra was completely sincere and clear, two qualities that I really value. Most importanly, he made a class where YOU WERE ALLOWED TO BE SMART! -my favorite.
Mr. Terpstra's classes are extremely difficult, but well worth it in the end. I learned more about the English language in his class than any other.
Intimidating as a freshman, but if you really apply yourself you can make it. For psych, he expects a lot, but the class is great.
Mr. Terpstra is a great teacher, but I would not advise his class unless you are interested in the subject and very prepared to work hard.
If you're lazy, selfish, and if you lack the self confidence to put aside what any person says you can or can not do, don't take this class.
Terpstra's the best. He's tough, but if you're bright and willing to work, you'll make it. Don't be intimidated - he gives off a mean vibe, but he's cool.
Don't give in to rumors. This is the best teacher I've ever had. PAY ATTENTION, and do the homework, and you will be FINE. He wants you to succeed!!
