i took Algebra 2 with him. im actually great at algebra, but it seemed like he didnt enjoy the class. talked about what we would do in calculus for about a 1/4 of the classes.said "dont write this down" then talked about what we do next year. there wasnt an opportunity to talk. everyone just blurted
Easily one of the best coaches I've ever had. (CREW LOVE).
He's an awesome, clear teacher and a nice person. He is always there to help you if you ask for it. Couldn't ask for a better geometry teacher!
He seems deceptively nice. But in actuallity he's neither nice nor fair.
If you're on the crew team, he'll love you. If you aren't, he probably won't care about you. But if you work on the newspaper, he'll be outright malicious, rude, and antagonistic toward you.
This is 20 years later, but I give Peter Washburn the highest marks for making geometry fun and interesting - great teacher!
Great crew coach and motivator! Gets you really to work hard. He's a great fair teacher.
Washburn is without doubt the best coach in the nation. He doesn't yell at kids-just expects them to motivate themselves. It works. I speak from experience...
A talented instructor and an excellent coach. One could not ask for a better mentor .
Wash is purely the man. NEVER gets angry at his rowers, he is ALWAYS encouraging, and he knows (unlike some) that TAKING STROKES is what makes the team better!
Washburn is so awesome. Instead of using double periods to give twice as much homework or tests, he goes on random cluster dean tangents and makes the math that he teaches so much more fun. He is an amazing teacher.
he doesn't actually teach, he expects students to simply read the math book, and when he never shows up to conference even after he makes appointments
Makes things easy to understand, and yo'll love math after taking his course.
great teacher, even better coach. He is the man. I love him, in a purely platonic sense.
I am not a math person, and Washburn dragged me into the light!
