Dr. Harak was one of the most thought-provoking teachers I have had in my high school career. The knowledge you learn in his class will help you not only through literature and writing, but life as well. I enjoyed our class discussions greatly, and he catalyzed my own thinking process many times. His visual thinking process is perfect for an abstract subject like English, and he ensures that each person in the room has a voice. He is a great teacher and friend.Take his class! You won't regret it
My experience with Dr. Harak is invaluable to me. As a senior, I was getting ready for college and my time with him cemented my passion for not only literature and writing, but also social justice. He's incredibly insightful, an amazing person. His instructions were, at times, unclear, but he was always willing to clarify them. His assignments were difficult, but he prepared us well. If you're willing to put in the work, you'll get great things out of his classes.
In my experience, Dr. Harak did his best to make sure his students understood the material, but did not give much leeway to those who did not try themselves. If you wanted help, you had to seek it out, which is not exactly a terrible thing. Personally, he taught me to be a self-sustaining student, and that in order to succeed one needs to try. I like to think he still instills this into his students as they filter through his classes.
He has no idea what hes doing, seems very clueless. Not a hard class, but you wont learn too much
Although the year has been tough in the class, I have developed as a writer and reader signifantly throughout the class.
Quite possibly the most knowledgable and thought-provoking teacher I've ever had. I looked forward to his class everyday, and his assignments were helpful for his class as well as future endeavors. He's also one of the funniest people I've ever met.
I have him this year, hes a great teacher he is just sometimes a little unclear on instuciones but overall his class is good just a little bit hard.
He's the best teacher i have ever had, he teaches you how to look at the big picture. hes rough around the edges but he'll grow on you.
hes pretty strict, follows the rules to a point. He picks usually girl favorites Hes not clear on assisgnments at all, so you need to pay attention in class. He is sarcastic, but helpfull if you ask
Extremely hard. But, that class was the most worthwhile class I ever took. You come out of his class feeling like you learned so much about life. Not literature, but life. Harak is the man.
Mr. Harak is one of the most down to earth teachers I have ever had. He is very understanding and respects his students. He treats us as adults. We have all 'tamed' each other. He has a great sense of humor and doesn't play favorites or only like the "smarter" kids. Overall a great mentor and friend
Good guy, I can't see why anyone would not like him. Only thing is he can give a lot of work.
He is a great teacher, you must work hard but i'm a C student and I get by no problem. He has a hidden sense of hummor, and a great knowledge of everything.
Assigns a TON of work...very hard grader and not too caring...i suggest dropping down a level if you get him
the school year has just started but im still kinda iffy on him......hes kinda hard...but hes nice
the most sarcastic person (if not, teacher) in the whole school.
very sarcastic, we rarely get much work done in class.
Doesn't listen to other perspectives, horrible coach and lousy teacher
HE can be unclear but for the most part pretty easy even if ur not on the baseball team but sry i am
He's an interesting character. He knows a lot about literature and is very knowledgeable.
kinda hard class but a cool guy who gives students alot of oportunities
He may be one of the nicest teachers i have ever had. He is always looking to help you in and outside the classroom
