I had him for philosophy, and he is my honest fav. He cares about each student individually and creates an environment where people can challenge each other and him and express outlandish ideas if thats what they want. he has a unique sense of humor and sometimes is absolutely hilarious without meaning to be. His class was chill and I really enjoyed it.

Mr. James is a great guy but his class was incredibly difficult and his grading makes little to no sense. He has consistently favored girls while grading. He also provides no detail on where you lost points an assignment.

Mr. James is one of the funniest teachers I have had and he is really nice too. I had him for philosophy and we often got off track but that was okay with me. He was a harsh essay grader at times which hurt me but really was a good person and teacher

Really awkward, but it can lead to some pretty entertaining discussions/moments. Anyways, I had him for philosophy and it's clear that he really loves what he teaches. He tries to see things from a student's perspective while offering his opinion, but that doesn't mean he won't correct any misconceptions people have about certain philosophers. He assigns a lot of work, and he's a tough-ish grader, but if you use the notes and the ideas he talked about in class, you should be fine.

Definitely one of the best teachers LS has. Had him in both 20th Century and Philosophy. He's incredibly clear, you know what to expect from him, but he also always gets you thinking and is all up for intense discussions. He's not one to say "I'm always right", but encourages people to challenge him and others. I loved his personality and loved talking to him. He was always extremely intelligent and knew about an array of subjects. It was amazing that you could talk to him about practically anything!
