Mr. Slatkin was my case manager and resource teacher. He spent a lot of time with me and made sure that I was doing well in my classes. I was able to get a lot of work done in the resource class because he made sure that everyone was working. In my other resource class I was able to fool around . Because of his help and care I am now a senior who is going to graduate on time and am going to college. We talked about sports and music and he was very nice to his students
The Gordon Ramsey of Resource Teachers
everybody just call him mr.slapdick he yells at students for the most little things
Its true what people say. Yes he cares and gives you the extra push, but he is pretty rude and a hypocrite.
(1 of 2) He does care, and want students to do well, but this guy is a major as*****!!! He yelled at me for not remebering things. It took him five months to remember my last name, and he doesn't even know his way around the school and he has been here for 30 years! I have been here for 3 and I my way around the whole school. He makes calls in the middle of class about students. The assistant teachers have rolled their eyes or shake their heads when he does this
Overall, Mr. Slatkin is tough and strict but a majority of student's within special ed classes need the extra push and support in order to be responsible young adults. Mr. Slatkin gave me that extra push, and never gave up on his students. I think some students are who are offended by his strict attitude take it the wrong way. He is tough, but a great teacher.
i agree. he was my case manager and helped me get into college. he spent a lot of extra time with me and really cared about me and my future. he was also my teacher for one year - got an A in class
he is incredibly helpful for the special education students at B-CC. He cares deeply for his students and has helped students with their career plans. He loves sports and can be very funny at times.
