English was one of my favorite classes freshman year largely because of her, and I am so lucky to have had her as a teacher. She made the books that we read fun, even though I wouldn't have thought they could be.
She is one of the absolute rudest and most disrespectful teachers I have ever encountered. She pushes her bias and beliefs on the students, picks favorites, and is often very rude and pressing on her students. She doesn't explain projects and her tests are ridiculously difficult. The questions ask about tiny details that aren't at all relevant to the book at all, and the books are extremely inappropriate for the age group.
I do not recommend her!
Mrs darling seems pretty tough at the beginning of the year but she's only trying to help incoming freshman. The first couple months are difficult but it gets easier and you really learn a lot from her. She's super nice and a wonderful teacher!!
Very very very tough grader, if you aren't involved in the school play/musical she will hate you
I didn't like her AT ALL! It is true she favorited people. Her tests/quizzes are literally impossible to pass because there's so many minor details that don't even matter to the (bad) stories. She's a tough grader and she over uses the boring and practically useless seminars about stupid books. It would be nice if she did something different and fun for those who hate seminars and those whose learning is not enriched from hearing the same answer reworded by everyone in the seminar. Hate her
She is a terrible mean and extremely rude teacher. Everytime I ask for help or to clarify a question she sighs like im bothering her. She will also embarrass you in front of the whole class if you didnt answer the question correctly, i almost committed suicide from being humiliated by her and from the whole class laughing at me because of her smart comment. Glad i dont have to go back to her class anymore.
I believe Mrs. Darling has good intentions but sometimes thinks that she's teaching a college class. Be prepared to read some pretty awful books and be tested on minor details that no one can remember. If you take her class make sure your ready to spend LOTS of time on english assignments. Do homework and participate in seminars so that when you fail tests and quizzes your able to keep your grade decent.
It's very obvious she shows favoritism to theatre kids. I wish someone told me what to do to get on her good side. So if you want to do well in her class, ALWAYS WRITE IN PEN (i forgot a lot), do your homework on time, and actually read the books so you can participate in seminars because she will boost your grade up for participating in those. it's very hard to ace her class but if you do, congratulations because you must have worked really hard, or been in drama club.
Mrs Darling is exttremley knowelagable at her job. It dosent take much to make her laugh or smile all the while keeping on task and focused. As her student she treats everyone with respect and can still be amazing and on task at the same time. she is also super cute and has a plethora of skitttles readiy avaliable to her students. :)
I love Dar to death! She has become like a second mother to me. In that case, she can be very strict and her tests can be very hard, but the challenge is good for everyone. I love her! :D
grades extremely (too) hard gets through books fast in second half of year. helpful if you don't understand and can be strict when necessary. some people don't like her but is overall a good teacher
The problem with Mrs. Darling is that she shows huge favoritism to students that do theatre. She's also quick to judge people, and she doesn't explain her projects or homework clearly.
I love Darling. She's amazing. She can be frustrating at times, but at the end of the day I still love her :-)
great teacher, very fun, u learn a lotttt, but u better study
