Ms. Ewart's class is a lot of work and honestly a bit like an AP class sometimes with her lectures, which are very information-rich but fleeting and sometimes confusing (but it's okay as long as you ask questions, because she does answer them, which makes things a lot clearer.) She's funny and is actually very helpful if you ask, in my experience. Must admit, the periodic table project was VERY unnecessary.Study from lecture notes and textbook outlines.
I'm so lost. She literally contradicts herself and tells us one thing and then tells us we don't need to know it because it's too detailed. She picks favorites and her tests are SO HARD and she says we need to put in more effort
I'm sure Mrs. Ewart was once a great teacher, however I had the misfortune of having now. She's very vague when teaching and her "notes", if you can even call them that, are extremely hard to follow. She tries to help, but even then it's still very unclear. Also, this woman plays favorites like there's no tomorrow, if you get her I hope you're a boy because she irrationally dislikes girls and seems to just have it out for some students and it really shows. Other than that, she's pretty nice.
NO NO NO. She insults, humiliates, and calls students names (personal experience along with many friends) As an A student in middle, high, and now college, I think she purposely failed me for one 9 weeks because I challenged her knowledge and methods.Went from 2 A's and an A on her 1st exam to a 42% in the 3rd 9weeks. She singled out students she didnt like and used a different grading scale: we compared papers to more favored students and took it to the dean and he agreed but didnt do anything.
Wonderful woman, really knows the subject! She'll help you and give you opportunities until the sky falls! Her tests may not be easy, but she's forgiving when she grades. The "hardness" is from the subject matter, not the professor!
Mrs. Ewart is an extremely nice teacher. She will go however far it takes to help you understand. She doesn't expect you to understand everything immediately, but does expect your best effort.
Hard class, no doubt. If you don't pay attention, you'll fail. You'll never be able to finish all the homework she assigns, but she lets it slide as long as you keep trying. Usually Mrs. Ewart either loves you or hates you. It changes daily.
from what i remember..the class was hard, i was surprised that i got a C in her class, but i'll always remember her cuz i was in her 2nd period chem class when i first heard about the sept 11 attacks.
doesnt explain things at all, but very nice and sometimes funny
Mrs. Ewart is one of the coolest teachers ive ever known. Although you have to ask lots of questions to get an answer, she DOES know what she is talking about. She also has one oft he best senses of humor ive ever seen in a teacher.
You like her, than you love her, you don't like her, than you despise her. But than she does the same with you. Stay on her good side and smooth sailing.
Your brain will melt into goo if you try to take this class without paying close attention to EVERY word she says. It's a hard class to prep you for a hard test.
Mrs. Ewart is wonderful! She understands her material well and is enthusiastic about teaching it. Those are the most important things!
She's sort of strict, I personally don't like the class but it's not the worst. Still, I would definently prefer any other chem Hon. teacher.
Mrs. Ewart is great! As long as you try in her class she will not let you get a bad grade because she will help you. Don't believe the mean rumors you hear!
Mrs. E. is one of the best teachers I have ever had! If you don't understand something, it's because *you* weren't paying attention. Chem is try!
I love her! She is the best teacher I have ever had and she has taught me that if I put my mind to it, I can figure out even the hardest problems. Thank you!!!
