Such a funny teacher. You just need to memorize vocabularies for the quizzes and read what she tells you to. She spends most of the time talking about morals and funny stories. She is very blunt and straightforward but don't be intimadated. She likes giving presentation assignments so beware, but everyone do them anyways so it's no big deal.

Very easy and fun class. All you have to do is memorize vocabulary and read passages and chapters you'll be quizzed on. She spends most of the class time talking about morals and stories(feminism, social pressure, personal anecdotes, personal lessons, funny encounters) which I find very entertaining. You do have to give a few presentation/speeches in her class, so beware of that. She's very witty and sarcastic, but in a funny way. Definitely take her!

By far the easiest teacher I had in sophomore year: An easy A. The two things that are important to getting a good grade in this class are vocabulary tests and quizzes on novels. The novel quizzes seem to solely contain near-useless extremely specific details that have no relevance to the overall theme or importance of the novel. Most of your time in that class will be spent listening to her discuss feminism, pregnancy, STDS, suffering, and bias.

Juarez-Medina is awesome. So you won't have to do a lot or any work, but WHO'S COMPLAINING?! She is really a sweet lady and obviously wants her students to succeed in life, that much is obvious. Her lectures are more about becoming better people than english, but I think a lot of people at Walnut should be listening to what she says. All in all, I love her, she is such a sweet heart and one of my favorite people in the world.

She is a teacher who actually wants you to succeed and will offer students who are borderline extra credit assignments to help your grade. She will always give talks during class about how important college is and how vital it is to do your homework and keep your head in the game. While she pushes you and can be moderately strict, you really do learn a lot from her class.
One of the most influential inspiring teachers I've ever had!

her class is pretty fun, but there are a lot of projects to do and no essays. her quizzes on short stories are pretty hard- so make sure you read the them. um, vocab quizzes are easy if u study and just participate in class.

If you want to learn, don't get her. If you want a chill class, don't get her. Her class is full of pointless projects and quizzes with insignificant details that don't help you at all.

Awful teacher. Her quizzes are on extremely specific but completely insignificant details. There are only 3 months of school but we haven't analyzed one thing and I have yet to write a single essay.

juarez medina. i like that she calls her student by last names, it's something unique i think. except she thinks everything is "cheesy" whatever that means. she talks about life in general a lot, but overall a pretty good teacher. i don't know if i learned much because she's kinda disorganized but its a easy class. great, outspoken person. not so great academic class.

waste of time. you don't learn anything besides vocab words. it's like a 7th grade level english class. nonetheless, it's an easy class. your writing skills will go down the drain.
