hes my favorite teacher in the school
I had Mr. Hughto in 10th and 11th Grade. Every year he would give out folder tasks. You had to get them done by a certain date and then get credit.
The same exact folder tasks for 2 years in a row! No teaching at all!! It should be an independent study! My son is so far behind ! What a joke! In the teacher conference he told me "I don't teach English, I teach time management" are you kidding me? wow time management the one and only elective LSI offers! Should have went to academy!!! So disgusted at the LACK of English curriculum here! I wish administration would get a clue!!!!!
Why the administration lets this man teach the 10th and 11th grade English classes is absurd. My son who graduated about 2 years ago always came home and told me about how "terrible" Mr. Hughto was. I of course thought that this was just my son being a bit bashful if you will. I of course after a while got impatient with him about this and went in to meet Mr. Hughto on parents night, he was rude and extremely disrespectful. They should make him teach middle school English. My son learned nothing
This teacher DOES NOT TEACH and it has been going on at LSI forever and nobody does anything about it. I'm not going to be prepared for college. My parents are spending money for me NOT to get an education. Recently a classmate called him out on the fact that he doesn't even teach us anything. Of course the student got in trouble but he shouldn't have. He was absolutely correct and I wanted to stand up and join the student in what he was saying. I feel guilty about my parnet's money.
Hated every year in his class. Irony, satire, illusion, allusion, symbolic: that is all
He is very confusing. he is never clear with his directions and does use typical teaching methods. Students often come seek me for help because he does not clarify.
satire is the key.remember the "green light and daisys voice" in great gatsby. irony and symbolism is in hucklberry Finn. DECON!!!!
I had to learn another language because this guy made me feel as if I were unworthy to speak, read or write English. And what the heck is up with his grading system?
Just an all around great guy. The best high school English teacher in the country.
I still haven't figured out the "focus" after 10 years.
