Mr. Wanta is easily the best math teacher at Corona Del Sol High School. I will not lie though and say that his tests are easy... they are quite difficult. I currently have him for AP Calculus, and the material of the class is extremely difficult. However, Wanta still is able to get the point across without spoon-feeding students the answers... because that's not how it is in college. Even though he pays an extreme attention to detail and proper notation, that's how work is graded on the AP test

I have him this year and he is a rough teacher so far! He is nice and such, but he likes to tell lots of stories, wasting precious class time. His tests are challenging and the extra credit is not always available in his class. When asked to go over hw and tests, the concept is still unclear for me, and I have a hard time understanding him. He always assigns a hefty amount of hw even when he doesn't go over the chapter! I have a tutor right now so hopefully my grade will improve!

I found it much easier to just re-read the chapters in the book than to listen to Wanta explain sine and cosine. Honestly he's a super sweet teacher, very funny, and very smart. But you won't be able to understand anything throughout the year..

Besides one-on-one he is an awful teacher. He can't teach to save a life and he frequently wastes class time with silly videos.

In AP Calc, he's extremely strict about notation and on tests if you're missing a single dx you're in for a world of hurt, but he only does this because on the AP test it'll be the same way and it's a good way to erase those bad habits for when it really matters. He does check homework pretty carefully, but that's also a good thing because you really need to do it to understand the subject matter. An A in the class and a 4 or 5 on the AP test are achievable if you do your work and pay attention.

Awesome teacher! Makes everything interesting with original examples! Some might say that his tests are hard, but if you pay attention and do your homework you should be fine!

Somewhat picky on tests but if you're taking AP, you better hope he was more picky. Besides that, he does an amazing job teaching calculus, I owe my 5 partly to his clear methods.

Mr. Wanta is an excellent math teacher; he's very kind and patient, though he doesn't appreciate if you find the material easy and don't pay attention. Overall he's a wonderful guy though.

Probably the weirdest teacher I've had. He decides how many extra homework problems we have by rolling an 8-sided dice. Yes, he does show a lot of favoritism and the tests arn't all that similar to the homework. But he's not all that bad...But he is a pretty bad tennis coach.

You can get a solid A on one test, then a solid 12% on a quiz when you forget one or two things. Difficult but he seems to be teaching to the test so its to be expected, i like him

Mr. Wanta is by far the coolest math teacher, if not teacher ive had. SUre, his tests can be challenging for those who aren't prepared, but you can make up for tardies, u can go to tennis games, and you can use hw coupons.
