Sadly, he was probably the best English teacher at Henderson. This is not saying much. I mainly remember how everybody made fun of him behind his back. He used to make lots of little mistakes during lectures, would not accept anything late, and would structure his classes around the content of jacket notes and appendixes in the books everyone had. One time he pretty much went point-by-point through the endnotes of a text for several days. It was kind of funny if you had only read the notes. But sad.
Mr. Brinton taught me in 1985. I didn't do very well in his class, but new that that was my problem, not his. He's an incredible teacher and person.
The only teacher who could make me laugh during a test. All hail The Voice of Henderson!!!!!! We will never forget him!
Mr. Brinton was by far the best English teacher I ever had at Henderson. He showed show much passion for his students and for the books we discussed in class.
I LOVE MR. BRINTON. He was more than just a teacher, he was a friend. Someone you could say hi to in the hall way and always get a smile from.
brinton is the man, i miss him a lot!!! coolest guy ever!
Mr. Brinton was a gem for Henderson. I wish I had professors that had their students as engaged as he did. I am sure he is greatly missed
I don't know who said Brinton was a bad teacher, he's one of my three favorites along with Masar and Hancock. For everyone who did not have him, I feel for you.
Great man. sorry to see him go. Had a wonderful ability to teach and connect with students on a personal level
I miss Mr. Brinton!!! He was one of the best teachers I've had.
