Mr. Clements is a great history teacher, and, probably more importantly, a great person. He's always on our side and commiserates with the eighth graders. He is very relaxed and tries to make things less stressful (viz. his mix-'n'-match tests). Furthermore, he made clear exactly what we needed to study with his very helpful sheets. The sheets also gave us a chance to share our ideas with our peers and hear their ideas, which I found interesting. I loved his new teaching style.

A knowledgeable teaching veteran. He really knows his stuff, a wealth of information. His new teaching style this year was a great way to take that knowledge and organize it in a clear way, focusing on all the important bits. The sheets also promoted class participation and set structure to each class. However, Mr. Clements added a nice touch by telling historical stories thereby making sure that the days didn't become a monotonous drag of worksheets. -Anonymous 8th Grader

He was one of the best teachers I have ever had, and I really enjoyed the new way he taught history this year. I've had never had a class in that format, but I think that it worked really well. Mr. Clemens was funny and dedicated, which made his class even better. Overall, I had a great year being taught history by and learning the ropes of Model Congress from Mr. Clemens

Quirky but altogether excellent. His teaching style (student discussion based) is quite helpful and rewarding. His mix and match tests, however, are based solely on facts: short essays would be better.
