Definitely a hard teacher (probably the hardest in NVD) but has an excellent knowledge and character. Always fair and willing to help. The Surprise Quiz on First day and HW quizzes are undoubtedly harsh but no excuse because this is an AP class. Though it is almost impossible to get an A in the class, if you work your things done straight and do your work, the door to success is not closed to everyone. Very similar style to Ms. Glick as well.
I have had pugs twice, he is one of my favorite teachers. He is someone that truly cares about what he is doing. Pugs truly knows what he is talking about, and is someone that is very reasonable as long as you don't joke around or fool around. I highly recommend his classes, AP Us Government or AP US History. Both are wonderful and both truly prepare you for college.
Mr. Pugs was literally my favorite teacher at Northern Valley. Literally every other teacher at NVD can't compare to him. He absolutely loves American history and will teach in such a hilarious, engaging, and thought provoking manner. He can get a bit politically incorrect at times with jokes that really push the envelope. His tests are pretty hard, but as long as you reread your notes and textbook, and pay attention in class you'll be fine. His projects are SO MUCH FUN! Thank you Pugliese!
Hardest class I've ever taken, but at the same time I'm so glad I'm taking it.
Tests are very tricky. Always gives second chances with projects and quiz grades. You have to know the material more than you think. Good prep for the AP test.
I took both his gov and US II class. Gov was possibly the best class i've taken in my high school career. if you do the work and participate, getting an A is very possible. in addition to being
Notorious as one of the harder teachers at NVD. Do you're work and you'll have a great time. Can be really funny but also unexpected and harsh.
His class is challenging, but projects and lectures are engaging and Pugs is very knowledgable. He's the best teacher at NVD!
Unexplainable rudeness, personal attacks, cursing, and name calling is his policy. Snide remarks and assumptions about people he knows nothing about is his courtesy. But a good, enthusiastic teacher.
A very good teacher so far. Expects a lot from you and it's only fair since it is AP history. Always review your notes, there might be a pop quiz the next day. He is far from easy though.
Amazing teacher! Don't plan on coasting in US II, and Gov't isn't much easier.
Sometimes hard and lots of work but enjoyable nonethesless
The best teacher Ive ever had, even in college. Smart, alwasy willing to help, and gets you interested. I cant say enough wonderful things about him. the BEST!
a lot of work, but he should watch his mouth. He got me interested in history though.
Didn't do well in his Const Law class, but he really got me interested in being a history major. So thanks a lot Pugs.
not as hard as everyone thinks...if you do your work, you'll do fine, otherwise a great guy; don't be offended by sometimes racy humor
Great teacher, great class. Extremely knowledgeable and well spoken, and excellent preparer for the AP test.
pugs pugs pugs you're meaner than a toad but who cares? youre the best we've
