I have mixed feeling about her. She obviously knows what she is teaching and, in general, I did learn Spanish in her class. My issue with Ms. Garcia was her personality; she was not the warmest of people, at times bordering on mean. I felt like she had favorites and picked on those she did not like as much. Mrs. Strong, whose class I switched to, was just as strong of a Spanish teacher as Ms. Garcia but more importantly a super nice person and I actually enjoyed learning Spanish in her class.
Standard book-taught curriculum. I came out of that class knowing less Spanish than I had to begin with.
Easy class, not very many grades but you don't have to try too hard. It's a shame we spend so much time doing AP books stuff and grammar. But her sense of humor is good.
As an A-average, AP student, I've feel that this class has only been detrimental to my Spanish education. Last year in Spanish 4, she was out for 2 months, very ill, and has no business here.
i'm so scared of that class, to a point where it is ridiculous
This lady teaches the AP curriculum not the language itself, I would love if she actually made us talk more spanish rather that speaking in English most of the time.
I think she is really nice. However, she can be firm when she needs to, and thats good. I think she isn't that great at TEACHING material she wants us to do.
she might be mean at times, but seriously this woman has it together and she has a sense of humor. She's organized and she knows what she's doing. She's good
for levels 4 and 5, she's the best possible teacher! speaks clearly, really focuses on the learning, not the grade.
horrible teacher....clearly had favorites in the class....mean and nasty, and has no business teaching Spanish
Shes great, though her class isnt the easiest. She doesnt expect much and she tries to help. She teaches to teach not to pass/fail.
Excellent teacher! Better for higher levels, she's amazing!
sorry...this is not my favorite class....shes not very nice...or encouraging
