The dude is knowledgeable but doesn't put effort into his teaching. Also, be aware of the third quarter when he has his annual leave of absence for a long time.
Acts like he writes his own packets, but really gets them online from another school. Very repetitive in his lessons and likes teaching in a monotone voice from his desk chair.
I had him for AP world last year and for Vietnam this year, he is honestly the best teacher i have ever had. He knows what he is talking about and truly cares about his students and wants them to do good. He is the nicest guy to talk too also.
Basically doesn't teach. Just rotates between movies, filling out textbook worksheets, and blathering on about guillotine bagel slicers. Is obsessed with the word "folks".
If you get him, just read the notes packet and use his class to sleep. You'll do fine.
I am in his AP world history class with a 95+ average.
He says "folks" at least five times per class and we spend weeks watching really specific movies on topic we aren't even learning about, and spend forever doing projects. You don't get to pick your seat, or your partners. It's all alphabetical. The class is easy, so it's fine that we all sleep in his class because he's so boring and monotone it's ridiculous. Has the personality of soggy cardboard.
I honestly don't think it is possible for this guy to talk any more!! I'm surprised he doesn't lose his voice. He is so monotone, and so boring, I'm a good student but it is so hard for me to stay awake in that class. He is really knowledgeable but omg he is so unhelpful.
He is really smart and should really be a professor at a college. He didn't really get to know the students that much (not sure if he even knew my name) but he shows a lot of movies and is really easy going with handing things in late. Really prepares you for the regents!
Surprised he's not a professor. He's extremely knowledgeable and will prepare you well for the AP exam.
He's a great teacher and if you listen to him you will do great on the AP exam. He is very distant from students and he only made a personal connection with a few guys in my class who made a nickname for him. Other than that, Rosequist just focus on teaching you the topics, talking the whole period when there isn't a movie on, and that's about all with him. He is very organized which is a plus and he has probably NEVER lost a student's paper in his entire career.
He's an average teacher. He structures the class and curriculum so much with numbers (Essay 1, Essay 2...) and unnecessary rubrics. He's kind of a boring person and doesn't really make any personal connections with the students, like he speeks strictly about the curriculum from bell to bell, although he is a nice guy. He's kind of knowledgable about the curriculum but nothing memorable.
Rosie's a cool guy. He's really sweet but he doesn't pay much attention to the class and it's arguable that he even knows students' names. He shows a lot of movies but they're still very interesting.
This man is ridiculously organized. He must have OCD, like legit OCD. The upside is that organization helps a lot through the year and it is a fairly easy class to do well in. he teaches great and use
He takes a stressful class and makes it fairly stressless. He's easy and organized. Do the work and you'll succeed. However, he can be boring and distant from students. Overall, I'm glad I had him.
hes like worthington but he keeps u awake instead of making u fall asleep and he doesnt give a lot of work
hes a bit of a dousche bag liek if you ask him a question about whats on a quiz he just smiles and hes like LOOK ON YOUR SHEET but otherwise hes cool and a funny guy
he doesnt give loads of useless work like chase did and he teaches really good my bro had him and he got a 5 so he must be good
He's a pretty good teacher, but his class was kind of boring. I didn't like him that much during class, but in the end I was glad I had him. He prepared us well for the AP exam
Mr. Rosequist was the best teacher I ever had in ward melville. He really knows his history and I still remember almost everything he taught me.
He was ok but nothing to brag about. Couldn't seem to leave the teachers faculty room, so always late to class. Annoying on test days when every minute counts,
SEIROUSLY NEEDS TO GT A NEW WORD OTHER THN 'FOLKS'!!! AND BESIDES PUTTING YOU TO SLEEP.
one of the best.....i didn't get the best grades but the vietnam war class really is great ..............only if you pay attention
The material is boring, not really his fault. However, we always watch pointless movies. I didnt really like him.
hmm. although he could be annoying at times, i definetely learned more in that class than i ever did in any other class. i liked how he taught us and the group proj. were def. beneficial for my grade
He is weird but his his hws are easy. But he lectures in my class too much. And he puts me to sleep with his stupid notes. And he always says morning! -Prd. 2
he is a very easy teacher but his class is very boring and hes weird when he comes into the classroom "he goes good morning and everybody goes good night
Great easy techer loves movies and it keeps me payin attention!
great teacher. I get As on the tests yet C+ on the quarter....AHHH. I hate essays. he likes Led Zeppelin and Iron Maiden, therefore he is the best ever.
Gets easily sidetracked, but other than that he's cool
He's awesome, I had him last year for history and i got a 91 on the regents, so he must know something!
Nice guy, fair, and knows the deal. Not too left, not too right - knows history, though some don't want to hear it. Glad to have him!
Nice guy. Watch videos everyday. He really does not have a clue what he's teaching. I get A+s in his class but i dont think i've really learned anything at all.
Rosequist gets a bad rap, but I'm not sure why? He's a pushover and he makes history partially fun (if you love watching movies as opposed to work).
