Feb 27, 2015 Mr Timmreck is by far the best teacher I've ever had. Too bad he's retiring this year. Poor souls who won't be able to attend his class. He's super knowledgable and way ahead of the other Alg2/trig class. Solid Trig teaching style. I've gotten very well at "brain only" stuff and calculators are my forte. I had a D on my first test. I just had to change my ways and I now have an A. Might be a little confusing, but never hesitate to ask. And yeah, he's super cool. And even more knowledgeable. Flag Rating
Feb 07, 2015 Mr. Timmerick is an amazing well-knowledgeable teacher who teaches in a different way than most teachers do. Most students that tke his class say "he doesn't know how2teach", but when in fact, the truth is that those student don't know how to learn. They want everything handed to them, along with the "A" grade. His class is an amazing learning opportunity;his main focus is not teach you functions or trig his main focus is to get your mind to a certain thinking level that u can think ur way through.. Taking alg2/trig with Timmreck was probably one of the best courses I have taken in my lifetime. He gives you a lot of freedom and is reasonable. He really relates to you and teaches you how to think in another way. His class is not as rigorous as people say. You can easily get an A if you do/understand your hw and properly complete the practice tests.
Just relax and take his class. There really isn't no reason not to. Grades are just a report/statistic; there is no way to truly c Flag Rating

timmreck will wreck you even harder than shrek did to anybody...
and the class isnt alg2/trig, its philosophy 101.
if you wanna survive high school, i reccomend that you avoid getting timmreckt. Flag Rating
Nov 18, 2014 Alright so here's the thing. I personally got C's both semesters. It already happened and I cant do anything about it. Do i regret trying though? no. Timmreck is a very, very smart man, and he'll teach you to THINK! if you're not one of those people who are REALLY REALLY good at math, i dont think you should take it. I am personally not a dumb person, I have always been known to be good at math and got 36 ACT 800 SAT2 math. However it is a rigorous class. If you care about GPA, please avoid. Flag Rating

Oct 14, 2014 Teaches you about life, not math. Amazing man. Great experience in his class. Would not recommend for your GPA, but if you actually want to learn, go ahead. Cheaters sit in the back by the way. I cannot stress this enough. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR GPA. Flag Rating

Mr. Timmreck only purpose is to give you the D and ensure you don't get into a college. His class is extremely hard

Timmreckt was quite possibly the highlights to my freshmen year. Idk what yall are thinking when you be complaining lol
I got A's both semesters with Timmgod's help and yall needa open up to the Lord Timm if you want to get a good grade and improve tho
In all seriousness though, Timmreck is actually a good teacher. It's just his reputation that causes his students to dislike him. If everyone said "Wow Timmreck is so great!", I'm sure more people would realize how good he is

Jul 30, 2014 This teacher is a TROLL. Fills class with made-up stories to toy with your imagination. Ppl complain he is hard, but if you are smart, you can get an A while bsing the hw, so it really saves you a lot of time and lets you do better things instead. Flag Rating
Jul 29, 2014 Difficult class. I definitely wouldn't have gotten through it without my amazing tutor, who holds a PhD in mathematics from UC San Diego. Flag Rating
Apr 22, 2014 Instructs us to teach ourselves, but ultimately expects too much, especially on the exams. His class is tailored to suit the needs of just the people who have the capacity to learn all of the material alone. Flag Rating

Jan 28, 2014 Good luck if you have him. Seriously. He is not a bad person in general, but his tests are impossible. For the person who said people only get bad grades here only if they are a blockhead, that is not true. Maybe you're the blockhead for saying that. His tests are difficult and hard. The curve doesn't help if you have those freshmen in your class. Do you like life lessons? Take his class then. Have fun and I wish you the best of luck. Flag Rating

To be honest, he's a good teacher, in terms of the fact that he makes us think. However, I am honestly doing horrible in his class and I listen in class, do my work, and study. Why is that? I just do not understand his tests when I get it. He's the smartest person I know, but I do not think he is suitable to be a teacher.
Avoid, if you want an A and if you aren't one of those smartass knowitalls. Flag Rating
Aug 19, 2013 Does not teach at all and hands out the hardest exams in the school. Take Algebra II instead, you'll learn the material far better and feel much more confident in your math skills. Avoid at all costs. Flag Rating
Jul 10, 2013 This is the best teacher you'll find at tino. Tbh he is literally the god of Tino. I hope I get him for Pre-Calc cuz he is such an awesome teacher, tests are pretty easy, and environment is pretty chill. Don't rely on him to help you because he will just confuse you more, thinking about it yourself is much better, for example for guessing trig he would say "visualize the graph", when there was a better approach. Some methods honestly dont work! Finished the class w/ 94 and final is always easy! Flag Rating

This was the best class of my freshman year even though i have 88 which is an A- ([88 is A-]). Whoever
writes bad comments about him is just a blockhead who doesn't pay attention. Nevertheless, do NOT
procrastinate with your homework the day before the test. Your grade is based on about 5 tests (about 80% of your grade) , which are difficult. he grades on a CURVE :D (always safe!). If you are not on top of everything at all times you are screwed. Don't be a dumbs and take algebra 2 (#PUSSY). :D Flag Rating

I think the reason a lot of people don't like Mr. Timmreck is because he doesn't teach directly from the book. He teaches you how to teach yourself and how to THINK. His test questions are not difficult in content, but they are tricky and it is very easy to make an error. If you can take the advice he gives you and adapt, you will do very well in the class and grow as a knowledgable person.
Mr. Timmreck is the best math teacher I've had so far. GO MR. TIMMRECK! Flag Rating

I think the reason why many people say Mr Timmreck is hard is because he doesn't really teach you the material but rather presents it to you and makes you think about it. For example, if he taught alg 1, instead of just telling you the quadratic formula he'd make you derive it first and understand it fully before you can use it.
Is this bad? No, it prepares you for college and higher level classes by teaching you to think and self study. But it is also annoying (forme) makes the class hard. Flag Rating

There once was man named Timmerick,
Who is quite deserving of a Limmerick,
And if I knew how to write one,
This Limmerick would be done.
.........But it isnt eh?
Now that the formalities have been concluded, I would like to present my thesis. Flag Rating

May 15, 2012 Too be a good chemist you have to be very good at visualizing things. Chemistry is a subject that rote memorized all too often. Anyone that may become a chemist or require a real working knowledge of chemistry will benefit from Mr. Timmrecks approach that encourages visualization and discourages rote memorization. Flag Rating
