i had honors Chemistry with you back at West. You are the best teacher I ever had!!!!!!!!!
I cant believe I found you. You opened my eyes.
Thanks for everything,
Thomas L Bassler, PE
The fun is done. He is one of the most knowledgeable teachers on campus. Too bad he's retiring :c
He is very smart and likes to play with student's minds. He makes a great deal about how the textbook does not teach materials well enough. If you want a very high GPA then do not take his class. However, if you truly want to learn, TAKE HIS CLASS. He teaches you how to LEARN and THINK, which is very important in life. So his class might not get you to succeed in school, but he teaches you how to succeed in life.
Mr. Timmreck is by far the best teacher I've had. He's one of the only teachers that actually recognizes that school and your GPA is actually useless in succeeding in life; its just a tool to help you gain knowledge to succeed, not actual success. He also has a brilliant way of teaching math. The textbook has a screwed up order and generally teaches stuff really bad, and so he changes the order and teaches the material in a way neater way. This class, however, is really hard if you don't try.
Mr Timmreck is by far the best teacher I've ever had. Too bad he's retiring this year. Poor souls who won't be able to attend his class. He's super knowledgable and way ahead of the other Alg2/trig class. Solid Trig teaching style. I've gotten very well at "brain only" stuff and calculators are my forte. I had a D on my first test. I just had to change my ways and I now have an A. Might be a little confusing, but never hesitate to ask. And yeah, he's super cool. And even more knowledgeable.
Mr. Timmerick is an amazing well-knowledgeable teacher who teaches in a different way than most teachers do. Most students that tke his class say "he doesn't know how2teach", but when in fact, the truth is that those student don't know how to learn. They want everything handed to them, along with the "A" grade. His class is an amazing learning opportunity;his main focus is not teach you functions or trig his main focus is to get your mind to a certain thinking level that u can think ur way through..
Taking alg2/trig with Timmreck was probably one of the best courses I have taken in my lifetime. He gives you a lot of freedom and is reasonable. He really relates to you and teaches you how to think in another way. His class is not as rigorous as people say. You can easily get an A if you do/understand your hw and properly complete the practice tests.
Just relax and take his class. There really isn't no reason not to. Grades are just a report/statistic; there is no way to truly c
timmreck will wreck you even harder than shrek did to anybody...
and the class isnt alg2/trig, its philosophy 101.
if you wanna survive high school, i reccomend that you avoid getting timmreckt.
Alright so here's the thing. I personally got C's both semesters. It already happened and I cant do anything about it. Do i regret trying though? no. Timmreck is a very, very smart man, and he'll teach you to THINK! if you're not one of those people who are REALLY REALLY good at math, i dont think you should take it. I am personally not a dumb person, I have always been known to be good at math and got 36 ACT 800 SAT2 math. However it is a rigorous class. If you care about GPA, please avoid.
best class for philosophy
Teaches you about life, not math. Amazing man. Great experience in his class. Would not recommend for your GPA, but if you actually want to learn, go ahead. Cheaters sit in the back by the way. I cannot stress this enough. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR GPA.
Mr. Timmreck only purpose is to give you the D and ensure you don't get into a college. His class is extremely hard
Timmreckt was quite possibly the highlights to my freshmen year. Idk what yall are thinking when you be complaining lol
I got A's both semesters with Timmgod's help and yall needa open up to the Lord Timm if you want to get a good grade and improve tho
In all seriousness though, Timmreck is actually a good teacher. It's just his reputation that causes his students to dislike him. If everyone said "Wow Timmreck is so great!", I'm sure more people would realize how good he is
lol gg no re
I really hate this teacher SO MUCH. gg its like bronze in diamond elo man
This teacher is a TROLL. Fills class with made-up stories to toy with your imagination. Ppl complain he is hard, but if you are smart, you can get an A while bsing the hw, so it really saves you a lot of time and lets you do better things instead.
Difficult class. I definitely wouldn't have gotten through it without my amazing tutor, who holds a PhD in mathematics from UC San Diego.
Instructs us to teach ourselves, but ultimately expects too much, especially on the exams. His class is tailored to suit the needs of just the people who have the capacity to learn all of the material alone.

I don't like how he teaches. He's smart and his stories are interesting, but his way of teaching is not for everyone. His tests are all ridiculously difficult and he doesn't follow the textbook. Don't take his class if you want an A.
Good luck if you have him. Seriously. He is not a bad person in general, but his tests are impossible. For the person who said people only get bad grades here only if they are a blockhead, that is not true. Maybe you're the blockhead for saying that. His tests are difficult and hard. The curve doesn't help if you have those freshmen in your class. Do you like life lessons? Take his class then. Have fun and I wish you the best of luck.
To be honest, he's a good teacher, in terms of the fact that he makes us think. However, I am honestly doing horrible in his class and I listen in class, do my work, and study. Why is that? I just do not understand his tests when I get it. He's the smartest person I know, but I do not think he is suitable to be a teacher.
Avoid, if you want an A and if you aren't one of those smartass knowitalls.
Does not teach at all and hands out the hardest exams in the school. Take Algebra II instead, you'll learn the material far better and feel much more confident in your math skills. Avoid at all costs.
This is the best teacher you'll find at tino. Tbh he is literally the god of Tino. I hope I get him for Pre-Calc cuz he is such an awesome teacher, tests are pretty easy, and environment is pretty chill. Don't rely on him to help you because he will just confuse you more, thinking about it yourself is much better, for example for guessing trig he would say "visualize the graph", when there was a better approach. Some methods honestly dont work! Finished the class w/ 94 and final is always easy!
Why does a course in philosophy use an algebra 2 / trig textbook?
I think the reason a lot of people don't like Mr. Timmreck is because he doesn't teach directly from the book. He teaches you how to teach yourself and how to THINK. His test questions are not difficult in content, but they are tricky and it is very easy to make an error. If you can take the advice he gives you and adapt, you will do very well in the class and grow as a knowledgable person.
Mr. Timmreck is the best math teacher I've had so far. GO MR. TIMMRECK!
I think the reason why many people say Mr Timmreck is hard is because he doesn't really teach you the material but rather presents it to you and makes you think about it. For example, if he taught alg 1, instead of just telling you the quadratic formula he'd make you derive it first and understand it fully before you can use it.
Is this bad? No, it prepares you for college and higher level classes by teaching you to think and self study. But it is also annoying (forme) makes the class hard.
Well, well, well. If a mollusk can do it, why cant you? All of you guys who fail to comprehend his convoluted erudition fail to understand the basic principles upon which human life and evolution itself is fundamentally based on. Not to mention, no... yea seriously im not gonna mention it. Anyway, all o' ya'll got a think like a Timmerick, a true species of modern society which has outstripped all...crap I gotta go, and frgt what i was saying, and judging by ur confusion, u frgt too, eh yeah?
I really enjoyed his class when i took A2/Trig. Pretty easy class with interesting and creative problems. Overall, both relaxing and interesting at the same time
Too be a good chemist you have to be very good at visualizing things. Chemistry is a subject that rote memorized all too often. Anyone that may become a chemist or require a real working knowledge of chemistry will benefit from Mr. Timmrecks approach that encourages visualization and discourages rote memorization.
I'm currently taking Mr. Timmreck's class, and the thing is, you have to have the right mindset to do successfully in his class. In the beginning, since you have no idea what to expect, the majority of the class is pretty confused. later on, though, you start to get the hang of it, and if you don't, i highly suggest you take a private tutor. I took one for just two weeks, and was on top of every subject so far. Mr. Timmreck is really easygoing, but the thing is, he doesn't really teach that much
Great teacher. Most kids don't like it because they think he is hard- this is a lie. If you generally get A's you will get an A in his class. HIS TESTS ARE MULTIPLE CHOICE. Just listen to what he teaches and you will be fine.
Mr Timmreck was awesome!! I loved the way he taught, and he would always answer all of our questions!!
Awesome teacher in many ways, but his tests killed me.
You're not thinking if you say that he's a hard teacher. Best math teacher ever. He teaches how to think properly and how to visualize.
He's a funny teacher, but he assumes that you can learn everything yourself. His methods are unorthadox, and his tests are hard. He helps you prepare for college.
He teaches very well, and though I needed extra help to understand the material, I still got it at the end.
He may seem intimidating, but actually get to know him in person. He's such a great guy. Great morals, and if you need help, then ask. Don't just sit there and do nothing.
Mr. Timmreck is a very good teacher. He teaches you how to learn things correctly. It really helps you prepare for college.
His methods are unorthodox and he doesnt explain anything, but his tests and approach are completely different and amazing...
Difficult class, but prepares you for college-level thinking. Definitely an experience to try.
Mr. Timmreck is very chill. His class is defintely challenging, but you should be able to find your away by asking him or other students questions. He's pretty nice so don't be scared to ask.
If only he went by the book for his tests... this was the first time that I ever had to ask other classmates for help
best math teacher ever. he taught us and made us understand stuff rather than just memorize formulas. thanks to him i have an A in calculus. :)
Simply put, greatest advanced math teacher I ever had!
Ridiculously funny, interesting, and overall a great teacher. Tests will get some time gettin used to, but will teach you in the right way.
Mr. Timmreck is well loved by us students. His tests may be hard, but he teaches us everything we need to know. His style of teaching also prepares us for any mathematical situation, and keeps us all paying attention.
his teaching styles may be "different" for some people, but he is a really good teacher and people who compain never paid attention in his class
Best math teacher ever, great teaching method, haven't seen in any other teacher before!
Many people complain that Mr. Timmreck isn't a good teacher because he doesn't hand you oodles of knowledge on a plate for you to understand. Well, in that sense, that actually makes him a wonderful teacher as by doing so, he is essentially teaching us to be responsible, to think when there needs to be thinking, and to be resourceful and talk to others when we don't understand something. He is an efficient teacher who knows the real world and is preparing us for it in the confines of a small math class.
He is a great teacher and will provide the fundamentals for calculus. If you are not good at math he does grade on a curve but if you are good at math you will really enjoy this teacher!
Mr. Timmreck taught me to really think for the first time. He doesn't just allow his students to settle on memorizing their way to an 'A'. His class emphasizes the importance of analysis and intellectual flexibility. While his teaching style may no be suitable for all learning styles, taking the time to learn at least a part of what he teaches is definitely worthwhile and will be beneficial to a student no matter what field he decides to pursue in the future.
I couldn't stand his teaching-if you could call it teaching. He basically handed us a textbook, assigned pages, and went "Here, do it yourself." There were times when he DID teach the class with a lecture on topics that NO pre-calc class would ever have. I had to get a tutor to keep up because he didn't give any instruction except to come back to it later if you don't get it the first time. I did and I would fail his tests, even with the MASSIVE curving. Pulled off double B's, but he shouldn't be a teacher.
He is awesome!!!!! He really makes sure you understand the material being presented. You never just brush over things, but you get the time to REALLY comprehend it
Cool teacher! He's really hard in the beginning but you get used to him. He really taught me well and has prepared me for life!
He's an amazing teacher. I don't think any of his students will ever forget him. He's inspiring and VERY helpful. it isn't as easy to get an A grade in his class as in other math classes, but if you really do pay attention and make sure you're on top of it, you'll do grate.
Mr. Timmreck is really hard, BUT he is very smart and a really good teacher. You learn a lot from his class.
Definitely the best math teacher the world has ever known. His class is characterized by his emphasis on thinking visually and clearly ("a mollusk could do it!"), by his much-loved, hilarious stories, and by his extremely challenging tests featuring the occasional multiple-choice poetry. I will never forget Mr. Timmreck.
Mr. Timmreck is one of THE most unique teachers I have ever had. I must say that it was fun being in his class. He understands how students need to learn to effectively understand. Also, he has great stories. :D Amazing teacher!
Why is Timmreck so awesome? The best experience of my high school career: the two years in his alg2trig and precalc classes.
I love him! He's the BEST. His teaching methods are AMAZING, and I'm so grateful to have had him as a teacher. Because the way he teaches is unique, some people say that he doesn't teach, which is completely WRONG. He absolutely knows what he's talking about, and his acedemic advice has helped me with all of my other classes! THANK YOU MR. TIMMRECK!
Mr. Timmreck is THE BEST TEACHER EVER. I've learned more in his class than any other class I'ver ever taken. His way of teaching is unique, so some people say he doesn't teach, but that's completely wrong, because that man REALLY knows that he's talking about. By listening to his advice (about schoolwork), I've improved in ALL of my other classes. I'll never forget him. I'm so thankful to have him as a teacher.
Mr Timmerick is the best, I'm in college and I still use some of his tricks he's taught me. Definitely knows what he is saying and makes class interesting with lectures. His classes are not easy but doable. You have to study, he gives you all that free time in class for a reason, most people fool around and then complain why they got a D on a test. The effort you truly put in this class shows, pay attention to the lectures and take notes and study and the A won't be impossible.
his tests are freakishly hard. but thing is, all he says is right. as long as you follow his instructions, it's not very hard to get A's on his tests. and his stories are pretty cool too
Timmreck is THE hardest teacher I've ever had in my life. Thanks to his tests being 80% of your grade, I got Bs for the first time in math both semesters in my freshmen year. He's still awesome noneth
HE IS SO HILARIOUS!!! HAHAHAHA okk so at first I was totally FAILING. then I realized that all you have to do is visualize. Procrastination is possible if your brain is up to it. Very few are, though.
If u want to get an A in his class, u better UNDERSTAND ur hw, not just think u got it but really know it from head to toe. 80% of grade is based on 5 or so tests which are HARD. makes u use ur brain
He may not have been my favorite teacher, but he made me like math when I had hated it in the past. He's an odd one, but tells great stories (over and over) and will help you anytime you need it.
An eccentric, interesting guy. He tells great stories, but his class is too difficult. He freely admits that his Precal class is harder than Calculus BC, and seems to think this is a good thing!
he may seem intimidating but once you get to know him he can really teach you a lot about math, and lessons on how to use your brain which actually work when you listen to him! Tests are VERY hard
one word: AMAZING sure his teaching methods can seem unorthodox, but man do you learn a lot. Absolutely AMAZING teacher.
his class is pretty fun but hes really hard and he never really explains things even though he says he will. His tests are killer too, study and know every little thing he puts on that board and more
Unique teacher. Amazing stories that can be very fun to listen to, but his teaching methods are a bit off. I came out of his class with almost zero new knowledge. Tests are challenging! Explains well.
easy, interesting class. u have to be proactive cause he is teaching is restricted. uses calc in algebra 2 class. ask him questions..expalins very well. nice stories.
mr timmreck is cool and if you take the time to ask him a question, he'll explain it throughly and easier to understand *the lil stories he tells us are fun too
