Mr. Pline is one of the smartest teachers and people I have ever met. He definitely knows what he is talking about and can always provide example problems if necessary. His final exams are very hard but his usual tests and quizzes are pretty average/easy. He has some pretty hilarious jokes and is always fun to have around. I recommend.
He told me that I would do nothing but flip burgers and McDonalds for the rest of my life, and was serious. Not a motivational tool. He stopped caring about me immediately after. Terrible human being.
I don't understand all the hate he is getting. For me, pre-calculus was easier than calc ab and I enjoyed having Mr. Pline as a teacher. He is a funny guy who might also be one of the smartest teachers in the school. His quizzes and tests are hard, but not impossible. As long as you pay attention in class you will definitely enjoy his class.
I had Mr. Pline for Pre Calc Honors. It's really a mixed bag with him. He is a great teacher some of the time. He can explain some things very well. All too often he goes off on mundane rants about something that is not even in the textbook. Unlike some other teachers (cough... Mr. DeKatch) he grades things very quickly and is happy to explain stuff to you in Flex. He knows his stuff, but some quizzes and tests can be a steamroller. Both semester exams were borderline impossible.
Pline is definitely one of the best and wittiest teachers at the school
Easily one of my favorite teachers from high school, hilarious.
Funny smart genius who has a different teaching style from the others but is a good teacher overall
Russ Pline is without a doubt one of the greatest teachers in the school. He truly understands what he's teaching, and he'll make many efforts to make it enjoyable.
He's a good teacher. It's just that he's teaching isn't good enough to get you an A
one of the hardest teachers in the school. but he's got a pretty funny sense of humor. good teacher overall
Even if you honestly try really hard, sometimes there is nothing you can do to get a good grade. He is exasperated when we aren't as smart as he thinks we should be, and really does not teach.
Pline rly emphasizes reading out of the textbook.Which for some ppl will rly help. But 4 others its rly hard 2 learn that way. He's nice to his honors classes but treats his others like theyre worthless
Russ is amazing. He's super smart and in my experience was always willing to help. He's challenging, but his classes are manageable. He's also very attractive :) gotta love him!
He's smart, and tough. As long as you take his class seriously, you'll be fine.
Nice guy. I actually learned stuff in his class, and he's pretty funny.
Probably the best teacher I've had--makes you work hard, but you retain info, which helps you in later classes! Makes class fun and always willing to help!
he's a good teacher, but tends to play favorites. if you understand that he has a really dry sense of humor, he's great
Mr. Pline is a good teacher if you are willing to learn, he has you work hard but still keeps things on the lighter side when possible. Good teacher.
Mr. Pline is a good teacher. He is very good at explaining math and is very nice. Don't be a slacker and he will like you
Mr. Pline i heard is a good teacher, though i am not doing so well in his class i understand math more than i have in any other math class.
The Plinester is cool! I like him a lot! Does anyone know about the phone hanging from the ceiling? Can't figure that one out. Again, he's really cool!
Mr pline knows what hes doing, he can be really boring. But hes ok, work gets harder as the year progresses. STUDY 4 TESTS!
I like Mr. Pline. He really knows what he's doing, and he's pretty nice!
He's always been nothing but nice to me. It was a great class to take my freshman year!
knows his stuff dont mess around and pay attention and its at least a B
Inconsistent grader, his system is very poorly set up and doesn't represent your knowledge of the material
he discourages questions, and makes you feel bad about yourself. not a good man.
