I don"t know about anyone else who"s taken her class but I'm in her detective and mystery class. Its an elective course and I'm about to end second semester with an S. I don't understand why she grades so harshly, its an elective, never gotten lower then an E in any of my previous english classes.
There seems to be 2 separate accounts for Ms. Russo i think the 2.5 on the other one is more realistic...

Overall, she is not a bad teacher. Russo is serious and sometimes awkward. She is tough when it comes to grading or looking over papers. She gives students no chance of making up late work. She expects students to give a clear understanding of the topic.

You have to work like an AP student (even if you aren't taking an AP class with her). She will sometimes give overwhelming amount of work and she expects for you to get it done. If not she will constantly hassle you all cycle about missing/handing in late that 1 specific assignment.

well, first off, she's a tough grader. i know kids who tried soooo hard in her class and at the most they got from her was a G. like the other person said, she is unclear about what she wants in her assignments, therefore, she expects a lot when she doesnt give clear directions. she's very sweet at times and funny, doesnt get mad too often, but when she does, good luck. she'd be a lot better of an english teacher if she picked better literature for us to read. she's very, very smart and knows her stuff

miss Russo is a really helpful teacher and her lessons really show her love for the literature, which is vital to any English teacher. She's also really tough, but her stuff can be handled. Just don't expect an easy pushover like you're a freshman!!

As a former murrow student, I can tell you that Ms. Russo prepared me better for college work than any English teacher I had in Murrow. Though people may complain of the hard work, Ms. Russo takes time to help improve your writing abilities, something most college professors would never do. She really knows what she's teaching and despite everything, you will learn.

Ms. Russo is the most intelligent faculty member of the English department. She has to teach AP. Perhaps we'd then learn material relevant to the AP exam.
