a parent's viewpoint - worked in a lab 5yrs ago. knows her subject well. my children had her. needs to improve on nervousness & teaching approach. strict grading. class environment - struggle & tense
She's okay. Whenever you ask her a question, she basically gives you the answer...
she teaches so you know what you're doing... but once you get the test it's like nothing you've ever learned
i could tell she likes chemistry, and shes okay at teaching it, but her class was extremely boring and dry. her class wasn't very interesting. there obviously, were not a lot of A's in her class...
she knows her stuff but dont always teach us the way we can understand it. hard to get a's sometimes
A nice person and very smart but hard to get through the class with an A.
she's very helpful and i know for a fact that a ton of people in my class are getting A's so i think that speaks for itself.
sometimes when you ask questions she says that she can't answer them because there are too many questions... there's no such thing as a bad question!
she doesn't let you borrow calculators (even for the finals!!!) but she is trying and loosening up a tiny bit more than nothing.
Last semester she was totally unhelpful, but this semester she is actually teaching us before we do the book work.
New teacher, give her a break! She's trying, and i think she's doing very well, gives up so much of her own time to give students the extra help that they need!
