He was my teacher in 1982, but I didn't stay with it. I know I frustrated him by cussing & threatening my classmates who irritated me, but he did his best. I'm glad now, I took up the cello again a few yrs ago and love it now

He got mad at me sometimes and was sometimes disorganized, but also gave me compliments on playing well sometimes, so I still liked him in most or all ways.

So what, He never cared about anything but his top group. Now we are all learning and all the orchestra sound good. we finally have directors that know how to teach.

Mr. Kidwell has retired. Because he was such a great teacher and accomplished so much, Robin Riley, the Mayor of Seabrook, TX has designated a special day as James Kidwell Day.
