I would not say that he was a easy teacher. I didn't had him as my teacher, but he subed my class for about two times. He was very tough but one thing that I can say about him was that he cared about me. Eventhough he was only sub teacher, he taught me how to open my eyes in the water. I didn't had any connection with him that much, but some how, when they announced his death, I stated to cry. I guess this tells me that he was a great teacher.
I only had Hinman for four semesters of PE at my time at IHS. Yet, he was the only pe teacher I had that actually believed in me and my strengths and my abilities. Many of the coaches at IHS dread teaching PE as PE students aren't as athletically able as the Varsity Athletes. But Hinman didn't seem to care. He treated us with the same respect and dignity as he would his Varsity team captains. He didn't look down on us. That wasn't what Hinman was about. He lifted us up.
RIP Coach Hinman.
Hinman was such a great man and a great teacher. Great personality too. Sure, he was tough, but he cared. It was so sad to hear about him passing away yesterday. My condolences to him and his family. :(
This is the first time our school has lost a staff member. :(
Tough teacher but he is so great and only wants his students to push to be the best they could possibly be. Defnitely one of the nicest and most wise teachers ever. He is such a kind person. If you try your best in the class and have respect for him and the people around you, you'll be fine.
LOts of people say hes mean but i think hinman pushes you to your goal so you can pass his class, sometimes talks alot during his lectures, but cool teacher
Tough, but a good teacher on the inside. He pushes you, but for a reason.
He is very helpful, but he always takes so much time explaining everything, even if its like 95 degrees outside.
He's really nice when you're on his good side. If you're on his bad side...be somewhere else.
he is a really good teacher but i was wondering why he is always doing the stanky leg.
awesome guy. he's a tough cookie but is very very helpful. i recommend him as a teacher.
I miss Hinman, he is one teacher I will always say in contact with. He loves and remembers all of his waterpolo/swimming girls. He is not afraid to call you at 6 in the morning if you don't show up to practice. Hes a great coach with wonderful stories, Hinman is like having a second dad he really cares! :)
really cool but i HATE HATE HATE doing pushups on a 5 million count!
