Dr. Igo is extremely knowledgable in history and a good speaker, but his class is completely lacking in structure and because of that, I felt very unprepared for the IB test. While his format may be suitable for a college course, his class is not at all fit in preparation for the IB test.
He is a great man and a very knowledgeable person but I didn't actually learn anything from him. We had to read the books he told us to buy and had to learn from that. I never really understood what exactly I needed to learn for each objective.
Igo is without a doubt a brilliant man, but a horrible teacher.
There is absolutely no structure in his class. No textbook. We rely on readings from a random book by a historian. All we receive are random details we don’t need to know, and when quizzes come along, we don’t know what we need to know.
I was not prepared for the IB exam.
-He is a good teacher who knows what he's talking about and obviously educated on History.
Cons -He is a habitual liar, ask anyone they can give you a list of BS stories he's told. L
I looooooove Dr. Igo. His class is hard if you don't read, but he is hilarious! And don't believe any of his stories. :)
Best teacher I've had in my student career, including college. A brilliant man, to say the least.
Dr. Igo is a pretty cool guy. eh teaches history, lulzes, and doenst afraid of anything.
he is the BEST teacher at garland! he teaches really well and his class was a bunch of fun :)
He teaches exactly what you need to ace the IB test. Yes, he tells random (and often untrue) stories, but they're just 2 keep ur attention... same with the innuendoes... he's just a good speaker
He's fantastic. I love history now. Thanks Doc! not mention quite captivating. As far as IB is concerned.. he owns. so yeah. i guess thats it. yeah for higher learning! m'kay i guess i'm done now. bye
His class is easy, he is helpful, and his lectures are clear. He's a wierd guy in a cool way.
And yes, his name is Scott Igo, not William Igo.
I assume this is Scott Igo, but damn, the dude sucks at teaching and gets by with innuendos and made-up stories, none of which bear any resemblance to reality.
Dr. Igo's pretty awesome; he keeps your attention both with history and his own stories, which, true or not, are always entertaining. You learn a lot!
