The things we did in class never helped us with the things he assigned which made it very challenging to understand what he wanted from us. Never felt like there was any evidence to back up the reason he would give me a certain grade. not great

Bardo is the man. one of my favorite teachers @ PA. he so easily relates to his students. he is a great teacher to know because if you have a problem... he can just listen. he knows how to comfort people. but also how to make them laugh with his sarcasm and dry sense of humor. in class he generates

Mr. Bardo is a great teacher. He makes class fun and interesting, and you learn a lot. You have to be prepared for some controversial topics, but if you really put the effort in and work hard you take away so much from his class. An excellent teacher overall, and he is very caring.

Good guy, but he's far left and it shows in his teaching and sometimes his grading. He helps your thinking, but not really your writing. Very worthwhile guy, but not an ideal teacher.

SBB is SUCH a cool dude. He grades his essays very hard but gives you ways to make it up. I got 3s and 4s on my essays but got a 5 overall. Gives great advice too. You'll remember him forever.

I have endless respect for Mr. Bardo. One of his great pitfalls but also one of the things that give him character is his lack of objectivity. He is very opinionated and he shows it.

Mr. Bardo challenges you to push the limits of what you already know. If you can't accept the unique opportunities he presents, you are ignorant. And (horrors!) he's a hard grader ... deal.

Mr. Bardo is a bit eccentric, but in a good way. I had him for English 100, and it was an amazing introduction to PA English. He read a poem to the class every day, he let me put blue eyeshadow on him, he promoted discussion rather than lecturing us.

A solid teacher, Mr. Bardo empathizes with his students on some levels but too often tries to impose his political views (specifically, the anti-war ones) on his students.
