Ms. Garcia is one of the nicest administrators that I have met. She always says hi to me in the hallways and whenever I need advice, I know that I can go talk to her

She sincerely wants to help you, but doesn't always know how. Came to her regarding mental health-she didn't do much but let u rant. haven't seen her since school started, haven't talked to her since. i don't think she made any effort to contact me either. deals with the 7th and 8th grade and only that - she hasn't said how are u or anything.

Although I understand why some people may like Ms. Garcia, in my personal experiences with her she was downright mean and rude. In 7th grade we somehow got off on the wrong foot, and she lectured me on multiple occasions, both in front of people and inside her office. As a counselor, I think she should be focused on helping people, not judging them and lecturing them. In terms of the high school admissions process, she seemed very confused about the procedure. Overall, completely unhelpful.

A very happy person overall, never gets angry. As a counselor she's not the best but she is a good picker-upper.

For some reason, she gets angry and lectures students. She is also unreachable by email/phone, so you better make sure to not leave anything to the last minute.

She is possibly the worst counselor ever. She suggested a school for me based on what she thought were my racial preferences. Steer clear.

Ms. Garcia is so nice and she makes you feel better about yourself, expecially when it comes to college, though i don't know how on-target she is.

If she's your counselor, forget it! Best do everything yourself, make sure you meet deadlines and be on top of her to meet them (not the other way around).

doesn't do anything you couldn't do more efficently by yourself & is notorious for forgetting to send recs and transcripts.

niceness has nothing to do with being an effective college counselor in a gifted school... she actually was the reason my upenn admission was revoked no insight
