Going into my 10th year now and reflecting on Humanities, it was probably one of the best classes I've had. Mr. Sheridan is great, his material is tough and his grading is tough, but he's always there to help you. He was funny too, we'd always have class inside jokes (though often not caused by him), and sometimes we'd play pranks on the other Humanities teacher. Hard class, hard teacher, but overall a blast. I would recommend him and Humanities.

Very interesting teacher. He teaches to the wall (doesn't make eye contact). his policy on participation is if your arms are above the table at all, even if they're just resting on the table, than he can call on you. Really tough grader too. He is a nice guy though and tries really hard to be funny.

Sheridan is beast. I had him for Shakespeare and it was my fav class cuz of him! he made me reevaluate my take on Shakespeare and it really changed the way I analyze texts . pretty swell guy. he makes jokes that are really clever and he is super forgiving and helpful. tests are hard if you don't read though. so don't spark note it beforehand.. actually read it

Now that the year is over, I realize what a great experience Humanities was for me. It took me WAY out of my comfort zone but helped me develop as a writer, reader, history student, and as a person overall. Humanities changes the way you think completely. Class discussions were highly insightful, and sometimes so intelligent that I was confused. My one piece of advice to incoming Humanities students is to have confidence in your abilities starting on the very first day. Also, PARTICIPATE!

Everyone seems to love him but I feel uncomfortable in his class. You better write what he wants to hear or you'll fail. I am so confused about my writing after being in his class.
