She spent the whole semester picking favorites and making fun of the shy kids who "didn't put enough enthusiasm into their presentations". She didn't teach any grammar. If you are looking to learn something, get Mrs.Farris. She is the sweetest teacher and you learn a lot from her.
I had Doña Bode for Spanish 3 and 4. Although she is strict and sometimes intimidating, if you do all the homework and classwork, try and actually pay attention, the class should be fine. If you don't understand something, get help immediately. She truly does care for all her students and wants you to do well! She is funny too and offers tons of extra credit
MY FAVORITE TEACHER EVER! Dona Bode cares so much about her students and you can tell she loves her job. She made me love spanish and possibly choose it as my career. ZUMBA is awsome! She really tries to create community in her classroom, you get to know and love everyone in your class. Also, she just give quizzes, no tests, which takes off a lot of stress. Moreover, if your not great at spanish she offers so much extra credit and tutoring to help you. A lot of work, quizzes, and presentations
Nice lady overall and knows what she is doing when it comes to yoga. However she assigns more homework than some of my academic classes and I have her for yoga. She is super willing to help her students out in any way possible but almost seems more like a friend rather than a teacher.
Ms.Bode is a ridiculous teacher who gives her students unessecary amounts of homework instead of teaching. Her yoga class consisted mostly of her making us wright journals about yoga which don't teach anyone anything. She is under qualified to be a teacher of any kind yet alone a language teacher. She is the worst teacher I've ever had and she doesn't teach anyone in her classes.
Amazing teacher, great great great, but she picks favorites and can be a little too strict, I almost cried one time, but otherwise she is an amazing teacher and care about what she does
Bode, is a great spanish teacher, and she trys her best to help every student recieve an A, she will stay after school to tutor you and do a lot more, most people don't take advantage of that, and the
Bode is a great teacher, but never fully explains anything...homework assignments, projects, everything.
As we know, only people who post here, sucked in her class. She was a good teacher, and as she has ten ure she can bring her dog all she wants so stop whining...
Mrs. Bode is not a nice teacher. She picks on kids and her class is hard.
Stop bringing your dog to class and telling us what to think.
Fun class, ofcourse, people who comeon here fail it... But I didn't!
She's a good teacher... if you can actually follow her. She's all over the place and kind of eccentric. Plus it's almost impossible to get the homework unless you have internet access.
"Dona" Bode, do not like her teaching style. Ms.Vazquez sooo much better. She tries to be a friend but thats not what im looking for in a teacher. Lots of busy work and can't stay on track.
She plays favorites and is clueless to all the cheating going on. She really made me want to take another language after I had so much fun in the first two years.
She puts way too much pressure on her students. She always picked on them, and there would be a bunch of tests and presentations each week. It was no fun, and I quit taking Spanish because of her.
She plays favorites heavily, often giving her favorites "help" on tests. I was one of them but it still bugged me.
most amazing teacher ever. she is so involved with her students and is always willing to listen. i will miss her!
went to Spain with her, been in her homeroom all four years, helped her remodel her house, shes amazing and a total sweetheart who truly cares for her students, makes you learn
Bode makes the effort to form personal relationships with each student in her class. I consider her to be not only a great teacher, but an amazing friend
This teacher takes all the joy out of learning a new language. She tries but gets hung up on her class favorites, and her pushing political ideas.
Sheryl Bode is amazing. Not only is she a role model to her students, but she treats them as equals, as friends. She gave me a passion for the Spanish language!
This teacher really, really blew. All sheever does is babble on about her feminist views and take stuff thats meant as a joke seriously F-
How could you people say these mean things? I had Bode for Spanish 3 last year and she STILL checks up on me. She took me to see Frida. She's an amazing person!
This isn't art class folks. I come to class to learn how to speak the language, not to learn how to draw. She may care, but she has a weird way of showing it.
She's an overbearing feminist with no sense of humor. Everytime I begin to like Ms. Bode, she reacts to a joke like someone just slapped her, lighten up
this is a tuff class. The bodemaster has tutoring tho, and it helps
COOL AND I RESPECT HER BUT I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND A LOT AND SHE GIVES TOO MUCH VOCAB AT A TIME
Easy class, but the teacher is bad. Hypocritical, and some of lessons are ineffective and silly. Vocab lists were way too long, (no writing on back??!)
Very fun class, with a great attitude. Not only a great teacher, but a wonderful friend, whom I will never forget!
Bode rocks! She truly loves every student and is always there for them.
