She was really nice, and would go over anything, never calling anyone dumb for what they asked! I loved her, though she wasn't the most captivating: a lot of people would doze off...
OMG. Arora is amazing. Her class starts off slow. HOWEVER, you'll find out that the class catches up by the end of the semester. She is very thorough, and willing to go over every problem a student has. She is also very friendly. Her tests are easy because she teaches so well. You will be very prepared for finals/regents. Her accent might be a bit difficult to understand, but it's not that bad. Very nice person as well.
Great person. Horrible teacher. really nice but doesn't know how to teach well.
She nice but i cant seem to absorb any information. Very helpful, however, and a great and amiable teacher overall.
she's very easy but is a very bad teacher. make sure you study on your own using the regents book. also the tests are mostly based off of the review sheets she gives, so as long as u study from that u
She is the best teacher Ever. Well not really but she helps alot and explains everything. Overall a great teacher
She teaches most topics well, but can be unclear w/ a few. The main thing is to be on her good side: just listen and participate a lot (knowing a bit helps); she'll like you for the rest of the term.
Realllllllllllllyyyyyy chill, so we often fall behind because the class fools around. But really knowlegeable and helpful and her analogies are rally funny too.
Easy 100 average. Just do all her extra credits and test correctly.Makes chemistry intuitive. She is mad chillax.
She's a really chill teacher but for some reason, i can't absorb anything that she says. None the less, she will go over a subject if you REALLY don't understand it.
Wonderful chemistry teacher. Currently graduating from university with a chemistry minor, and wish I could have her as the professor for all my chem courses!
Ms. Arora's my favorite teacher at Stuyvesant. Science has never been my favorite subject, but my SC1 Regents Chemistry class with her changed everything I thoughout about science class.
super clear with her teaching and straightforward, prepares you WELL for finals. and word to that guy on the 1/31/11 post, he was supersmart and got 105 on all her tests without trying.
She can't teach but if you study on your own, you'll be okay.
honestly my favorite teacher. i sleep in class, she does not care one bit, and stil get a 95 test avg cus i read the textbook. great great teacher.
Science had never been my favorite subject. But this changed with Ms. Arora. She is very nice to her students and makes great analogies to chemistry to help you remember concepts.
If you need a lot of reviewing before a test, Arora's your teacher :) Had a 90 ish test average and got a 95. Very charming lady.
You don't need to pay attention in class because even if you do, it won't matter. She's confusing.
amazing teacher. i love how she makes these rather absurd analogies to chemistry, but even though they're silly, they help a lot in remembering the stuff. she doesn't do much demos in class though...
Great teacher. Knows her stuff and relatively easy grader if you try. Friendly and you'll learn in her class.
nicest person ever!!!! pretty good at explaining stuff
Love her. Extra credit on every test, teaches well, extremely nice, and lenient.
she's a great teacher. babies her AP chem class a bit. she's so NICE. a good person. her exam's are ok.
I LOVE MS ARORA!!! Seriously, she goes out of her way to make sure students get the material. Lenient, easy grader, and really nice.
Really nice and easily sidetracked. For AP, her tests are pretty long and hard. Make sure she knows your name.
ms. paik really ruins the 9th period regents chem class since she's ms. arora's assistant, but ms. arora herself is a good teacher. The only problem with her is that she needs to accelerate the class a little bit
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Ms. Arora, but I hate how she's such a pushover. My regents chem class always asks her to push tests back and she lets. It makes us go really slow. I'm actually worried if we're gonna cover enough for finals
Best of the chem teachers available. If you pay attention in class you won't need to look at the textbook.
Definitely one of the easier chemistry teachers. She's nice and funny. She teaches us not too much more than we need to know for the regents [can be viewed as an advantage or a disadvantage]. We rarely have to read the textbo
i like her lotts. shes an awesome teacher whos rly thorough and clear. her only problem is that she goes a little slow. but shes still an awesome teacher and u noe she noes her subject.
One of the best teachers I've ever had. If you want to learn something in her class, she explains stuff pretty well and gives fair homework and tests. If you just want to slide by with a good grade, that's also pretty easy.
i like her a lot! she makes class fairly interesting, it is extremely to misbehave right under her nose, however. she is really nice too and her tests are fair
Yes, she has an accent, but it's an understandable accent. She's good, but she uses a lot of complicated (And humorous) analogies that only complicate the subject
She is a nice teacher, and uses comedy to help foster understanding and interest. She is also lenient especially in labs and homework collection. But she also has quite an accent.
The best chemistry teacher in the department. Deserves recongnition for her extra effort to make students undertand the material.
Ms Aurora can teach and she does. You do learn, albeit a little, but she goes out of her way to make something clear. I'm very happy i had her.
Best teacher ever! Gives homeworks that are due 2 months later. Tests are ok if you know the subject. Very very nice person. Cares.
She's not a bad teacher. The only problem is that she can't control her students, and as a result, none of us really learned anything, even though I was in her research chem class
extremely kind and needs to be strict; its the students and not the accent that impedes her teaching
Extremely nice and not a bad teacher if she's given a chance. She needs to be slightly more strict.
Ms. Arora is very nice. Her tests are quite easy. But she needs to be a little more strict. My class keep on leading her astray, wasting precious time.
