He substituted for a quarter in my 8th grade Algebra Honors class. He was cool.
I had him last year. Hes a pretty cool guy if you get to know him. He is always willing to help out and his class is easy to get an A in if you try. Just do the homework and study the worksheets.
Mr. Skinner was an extremely good teacher who prepared the Calculus BC kids for the coming year... don't blame him if you couldn't keep up with his pace. His calculus lectures on derivatives and limits were realllly useful for calc..
This guy can't TEACH! so confusing in his class, practically needs a tutor for himself! i pity those who had his class, since he ruins ur math knowledge and future in math! he's really easy tho (tries to give everyone A's)...talks about things that have nothing to do with math...like fishing!
this guys awesome, what are you talking about. I learned so much, and he has some really funny jokes. He's really nice and understanding with hes students too, too bad hes retiring, a lot of wisdom in that one man.
he's cool, give the man a break. hes been there for a long time. get on his good side, and show dedication and respect, and you'll be fine. like any math class, dont fall behind.
he may be a smart person, but he can't really teach.
Try easy to get an A if you're a natural. He's getting too old to teach. Very smart but can't convey his knowledge. Too inconsistant
He is a very nice guy. He knows all the stuff and understands everything, but he doesn't know how to make you understand. Easy to get an A if you work.
so ya he told me i was dumb made fun of me when i asked questions and was horrendous at teaching...so i had a ball really it was super... good luck
Ok.. He has been teaching for more than 23 years... So he doesn't care anymore. This can be good or bad for you (if you want to learn or not!). But he's nice.
I don't get his jokes. He is good teacher gone lenient.
He knows a lot about math but is very bad at teaching it. He mainly does problems on the board for himself. while he tries to be funny his jokes are kinda bad..
hes funny for an old guy, you have to appreaciate his goofy humor. but hes a pretty bad teacher, doesnt explain anything, but expects a lot
Split feelings about this teacher. Liked his class the first semester, but second semester it was like we got a totally uncaring teacher and a different class.
Great teacher, except when he makes us do the homework...formula to live by: independence = great math class
hes awesome! class is like a college course in that you can choose if you want to take notes/do hw. anyone who doesnt do well isnt ready for the independence
I had 2 classes with Mr. Skinner in 1979-1980. Not being a math head, he was awesome. Held tutoring after classes. I still remember his care and help.
i don't have that much to complain about, but he's not too wonderful either. nice guy. likes to fish...a lot.
If the class is too hard for you - switch to a regular class. Don't complain about the teacher.
Now now u n00bs.. as long as u pay attention and take notes, he's proly da coolest math teacher eva :P
Doesn't collect hoework, instead ure grade depends on tests and quizes. Doesn't explain anything ever. Less helpful then a book.
Mr Skinner is awesome he teaches you things much more important than math
dude..skinner doesnt know how to teach at all. hes chill to like..talk to and stuff. but what has anyone learned??
The reason he was hard was because he didn't know how to teach. Nobody left his class any smarter.
He is very my way or the highway , and does not teach at all. Asking him any sort of question will get you ridiculed for having not taken notes
