I loved Ms.Sapozhnikov because she was a really nice teacher and she made Freshmen English easy and fun. Although there was a student teacher teaching for 3/4ths the year, I still enjoyed Ms.Sapozhnikov's class. Ms.Sapozhnikov was pretty clear when explaining text in a book and her tests were really easy. Ms.Sapozhnikov was chill, funny, and totally cool. She announced her pregnancy during one of the last few days of school so shoutout to Ms.Sapozhnikov and her baby! :)
She's a really good teacher. Just do the work and study for her tests. I did really well on the regents because of her.
She uses her class to stroke her ego (that I can only imagine is highly damaged by the fact that she is a public high school english teacher). Additionally, she acts as though her opinion on age-old famous literature is the only one that is accurate. This can get very annoying when you compare her theories to those of people with adequate intelligence and find that they are rudimentary at best.
She's a good teacher. Knows how to help me improve my writing. I would like her to teach class more often though.
She's a very arbitrary grader. I'll tell you right now, anyone that writes something along the lines of "if you work hard you'll get a pretty good grade" is probably one of the students she favors. She grades essays based on much they conform to her style of writing and not the english department's rubric.
Harsh grader and has obvious favorites. Though you might get "bad vibes" from her (user post below), she has a great personality. She's a decent teacher and you will definitely be prepared for any major tests to come.
I really love english but I just don't like her as a person so that kind of ruins it for me. She's an alright teacher but she just gives me really bad vibes. I don't think she hates me but something about her makes me feel really uncomfortable
It's true she rarely gives above a 90 on any assignment, though you can manage a 93 avg if you try hard. She's really nice and sweet, and she has good fashion sense, i look forward to english class.
I admit she's a tough grader but not her grades are reasonable. She wont give you a 85 if your test grades are high (unlike some engligh teacher I know). She's an extremely nice person. Love her
ive had her for 2 years n shes pretty good but mad hard n madd pop quizes but she is nice and you do learn
She never really gives out 100's, but if you try enough she'll give you a good grade. Also a nice person and a pretty good teacher overall.
She needs to grade according the the department of english and not based on her bias views. As far as I know, getting a 100 for any of her work will be considered MASTERY on the assignment. RARE
Ms. S was awsome. she's really nice, let us eat in class and was a fair grader. i got an A in her class :D
i like her, but a VERY HARD GRADER. i dont think any of the boys got above a B+. I got a B+ and on the comments she writes "highly motivated and cooperative"...i mean, i usually get that when i get an A or an A+ or something, guess B+ is good 4 her class. so LESSON: DONT SLACK OFF OR SHES GONNA DESTROY UR GRADE,
AWESOMEEEEEEEEE :) i have her for creative writing 8)
had her for 1/2 a year for writing sem. she was a great, fun, interesting, fair, nice, etc. teacher! I learned so much in that half year! i thought she was a fair grader and as long as you participate
Her flexibility and niceness factor really helped me out as a freshman.
I wouldn't say she taught us to write better essays. She didn't help me and just expected us to do essays without propers formats or techniques. Shes a nice teacher, you can talk whenever you want and she won't care. But she can destroy your grade with her essay grading. Kind of boring at times with her class discussions, but she is willing to help you if your struggling in her class. For soph honors do your essays and do not joke around with them, do a Good job or you will suffer the consequences....
She's a very nice teacher, very reasonable judgement, and VERY flexible....
She's one of my favorite teachers! I agree that she's a tough grader, but she expects a lot from us and I've learned a lot. She explains things to us, we have interesting discussions, and I've learned to write better essays and speak up in class more. If you try, you'll definitely do well :D And she's oh-so-chic. I love her outfits.
She is a really good teacher and I have now learned to write better essays than last year. Okay, she may be a hard grader but if you really try your best you can pull off a 90+. She has a great personality and I love English now more than ever.
she's not an easy grader. her class is hard and a lot of work. i'll admit that, but she's the best english teacher i've had in this school. she expects a lot from everyone and thats why we think she's hard.
She is nice and understanding. I love English, and I look forward to her lessons. She's not an easy grader, but I learn a lot from her.
best shoes. pretty good teacher but no different than english.
Ms. S isn't that bad, she's trying her best and is a bit under-rated? Give her a chance...
What are you talking about? I LOVE the woman. She's the coolest teacher and probably the only english teach that I like in this school. She's a great teacher and she actually makes sense.
none of you hacks understand anything, just because she isn't the easiest grader doesn't mean she deserves ridicule. i found her to be a great teacher who was very willing to support her students.
She counted a missing hw from the 1st term to my 2nd term grade b/c it took her so long to grade it. She's boring, has no control over her classes and is overly sensitive. I heard she improved, though.
Shes improved since when ive had her freshmen year. Keep up the good work!!
Ms. Sapozhnikov was the coolest english teacher I've ever had.
I think that she is a good teacher but on the grading she is bad. She rounds down! What kind of teacher rounds down!
I think she's a decent teacher. :) I learn a lot in her class. More from the students than from her though. Still, she's a very nice lady.
she will probably never give a 100. she's a good teacher b/c she cares.. but if she doesn't like u.. no matter how high your grades are.. u wont get that 90
she's decent...just have to try in her class that's all
She thinks she knows what shes doing, but she just makes everything worse. She gives us worthless projets that make no sense. She makes us suffer all day.
She's ok I guess. She makes stupid projects though, and we have to write our own questions for essays. She doesnt compare to the english teacher I had last year
she's decent...better then some other english teachers....
THANKS TO YOU MY TRANSCRIPT IS MESSED UP!!!!! She gave me bad grades and I actually did good on her tests! She's the worst teacher I've ever had.
You get a compromise with ms sapoz, her class is impossible to ace, but she's amazing. Depends whether u want good grades or to enlighten your thinking.
at least she tries to help and tries to be good at what she does unlike some others who could care less
ive learned to like her, and shes bcome more insightful.shes nice, shes improved with catcher& shakespeare. all her group work is annoying tho
Ms. Sapozhnikov is okay... i do all the work, and i score well on the tests, but for some reason i got a D. She said she gave it to me to allow for room for improvement... Oh well.
Ms. Sopzhnikov is a decent teacher for someone who's new. She just chooses the wrong books for class. They put me to sleep and i can't keep up with class.
shes really nice and the class work is easy. Just go on about metaphoric mumbo jumbo. The HW isnt even hard, just read 1 page of the book and its done.tests ez
She doesn't know what she is doing. She tries to get kids attention but she makes the kids even more frustrated and bored. The group projects are bad.
i think she tries hard and its good. I think she is a very nice person. Everyone makes her feel bad, and its mean... she only trys to help
i can tell that she tries hard, but its not working. its her first year and it must be tough. but i think she'll get better. she's learning how to do better, and i know she cares about making the class interested.
New and tries hard. She needs to do a better job checking our work. She tries to have lively descussions and do innovative activities but they are pointless.
Good for a new teacher.Students should give her a break realizing it's just her 1st year.If people treat her with respect-she will reciprocate.
wats wrong wit u people...shes not a bad teacher. she tries but no one eva does the work...so she kinda HAS to be the only on carrying the discussion.i like her
You can see that she really tries. She has a lot of energy, and intends to use it to keep the class awake and interested- it actually has the opposite effect.
She's a new teacher - give her a break. I mean, she is actually pretty good for a new teacher, compared to some other teachers I have.
she's a good teacher on the most part, but she tries way too hard.she should just chill and do what she was hired for, not try and win some fans for her work.
She's good for a rookie. She'll learn with experience.
she should just relax... dont be so involved making the class be respectful and just teach.
Mr Sapozhnikov is a decent teacher- but she is new and can't realize why she can't earn the respect of her students. She shouldn't take these opinions to heart. By letting people get to her it shows that she's insecure, insecure people don't get respected
She is so annoying. She gives us pop quizes because our discussions are not interesting. They aren't interesting because she's the only one that talks about how she azzumes things.
Annoying, too much hw. Makes all these wierd clicking noises...
Tries too hard. Horibble teacher, should pursue a carrer in the arts
She gives a lot of homework, and expects a lot from us, but sometimes her instructions are not clear.
she disagrees wit every 1 n she dusnt no how 2 teach at all
