He was very rude to most of his students. He loved to pick on certain students. He gave a ton of homework and was very confusing with his teaching. Many of the other students hated the class. If you have HIM....... SWITCH! he needs to be fired and replaced....
He is not that bad of a teacher. He does love using the Spanish textbook a lot for activities in class. He is somewhat funny. I had him last year as a student. He loves handing out detentions and referrals but he is nice to you if you pay attention. His favorite words are "verdad" and "step outside please". Just study and you'll pass.
First off, credit where credit's due. I have learned more in this one year of Sr. Albelo's class (spanish 4) than all other years of Spanish COMBINED, though im not entirely sure how much of that had to do with the books and stories we read vs him. However, he is incredibly inconsistent, often changing how he grades things in the MIDDLE of a test, so some students get better grades than others with the same answers. He can also be incredibly vague at times, and rude to his students as well.
Although a respectable teacher for Spanish 3 and 4, he is incredibly disorganized with his Spanish 1 class. All he ever does is assign busy work and constantly picks at the same students. Tests are fairly easy, due to the fact that he spoonfeeds every answer to you on the test. Teaching method is awful. For first semester he moves very slowly and then by May begins to shove 6 chapters down your throat within a five week period. Otherwise, he has a peppy personality and has improved HW clarity.
I'll be honest, okay! Sr. Albelo is not the WORST, because there are honestly language teachers on campus even more terrible than him (Sr. Levy, Srta. Novak, list goes on). In my experience, he sure loves giving out detentions and referrals. This might be stretching it, but if you show your dedication (if any) to Spanish, he'll go easy on you. Keep low around him and learn the material as you go, and you'll do fine. (Also, jeez, what is with all the entitlement the Spanish teachers have???)
He's very rude and picks on certain students. He's very unclear with homework assignments. He gets upset and impatient when you ask questions. He rolled his eyes at us when we needed help. He's nosy, obnoxious, conceited, annoying, and a very bad teacher. Worst I've ever had
Possibly least favorite teacher in all of High School. He just ruined Spanish for me. Makes me wish I had taken french. Doesn't teach, just makes us do textbook activities(busywork) all day. His grading is totally unreliable. Hes terrible.
This man was far and away the worst teacher I ever had. He's unreasonable, unorganized, condescending, picks favorites, and stubborn. He will absolutely blow you off sometimes if you ask for help and he doesn't know how to help. And don't even get me started on his homework. He thinks his class is the only class that matters. He also loses assignments. He's so unorganized that he assigned 2/7ths of the curriculum to cover in the last 2 weeks of the year and just crammed because he was behind.
Senor Albelo is a great Spanish speaker who has no clue how to pass on his knowledge to students. He is never very clear on the homework and sometimes will post it on school loop last minute and expect us to have checked. He is extremely condescending and does not take criticism well and just an overall horrible teacher. He means well but this is a class I absolutely dreaded and I am sorry if you get stuck with him as your teacher.
Regarding Sr. Albelo, what can I say? I have run out of words to describe him! Brilliant at teaching the curriculum in a fun way for everybody to learn and understand. He excited me about learning the Spanish language, and now I am speaking Spanish to seemingly everyone. He is helpful, excellent at teaching the class, and has fun at the same time! All incoming freshman, start begging your counselors for Sr. Albelo right now! Me gustó ir a la clase de Sr. Albelo cada día porque es divertidísimo.
Not helpful, can't understand him, his tests are impossible
The class is fun and Sr. Albelo teaches in a way that helps one to understand better.
Sr. Albelo is my favorite teacher so far in the ninth grade. Awesome teacher! Very helpful in learning the Spanish language, and extremely interactive which is very nearly everyone succeeds in his class!
He was very rude and very unhelpful and he loved to pick on certain kids than tend to be friendly to him. And had many mood swings throughout class, could never tell if he was in a good mood or not.
i actually thought he was a really good teacher for spanish 1..
Senor Albelo is a great teacher. His class will definitely prepare you for your next years spanish class. Tries to be humorous and make the class enjoyable :)
definitely not the easiest spanish class. lots of hw, hard quizzes and tests
good teacher from a academic standpoint but he loses your work, and he accuses you of things that you really didn't do.
probably the worst teacher i have ever had, he is the reason i will never take another spanish class. I STRONGLY do not reccomend this guy
Worst. Teacher. Ever. Honestly, I had personal conflicts with him; not just student-teacher. He is NOT consistent with his homework or grades at all and does not know what he is doing.
Definite mood swings. Likes to give a lot of homework and sometimes picks on certain people.
boring, mood swings, boring class, irrational at times, too much work, and I really didn't like the class. BUT, I learned alot of Spanish from this guy.
his tests are easy and he really knows what hes teaching. ......buttt, he NeveR listens to your point of view. he thinks hes funny and cool but hes not. very unclear about what he wants us to do for homework.
It was a pretty easy class, but not clear especially in letting you know the hw and he just is really disorganized. he has his mood swings for sure, and he is really boring. not very helpful with things from previous years
His class will be tough, and he will hold no mercy to those who struggle and decide to seek help at the very end of the semester. He is a fantastic teacher but forgets that not all students have the same comprehension level.
Unclear on hmoework and assignments, but does teach most of the material in an okay fashion.
You don't get many good teachers who can teach Spanish correctly, Sr. Albelo does a great job if you consider other teachers.
I had this guy sophmore year.. such a cool teacher.. cracks a lot of good jokes.. very cool teacher
