Only thing that could connect him to Spanish is his Ecuadorian wife that he never stops talking about. He gives out more worksheets than lessons, and if you don't get it that's it. Favorites include ASB and athletic kids,if you don't fall under that category mid as well call it quits now.
Senior Phillips is a really bad teacher, he picks favorites and if your not one of them, good luck! All he talks about is his wife and Ecuador.
He hates kids I don't know why he teaches tbh
He picks favorites by far, the tests are super difficult if you don't study or understand, homework-sometimes he forgets to collect until 3 weeks later, then if you dont have it or cant find it, you lose 30points instantly and then he gets mad if you try to turn it in late. Had him for Spanish 4 AP, didn't like it at all, you're better off doing regular spanish 4 and still getting the weighted grade...it's true and easier.
Hard, Homework didn't count for much, so that made the tests even more important...if your not a great test taker then switch out immediately or you'll regret it -_- i did!
Took him for Spanish 3 IB. Nice guy if you talk to him and try and make conversation. Has couches in room. If he lieks you you can get away with a lot. Like if you are sick he'll let you just sleep on the couch. Tests are difficult though and he likes to focus on oral dialogues and stuff.
Phillips was awesome! I felt very prepared for the AP test, and guees what...I passed! And no, I'm not a native speaker. I liked his class.
Don't take Spanish 4 AP. It is the hardest class ever and no one passes the AP test.
He was a cool teacher last year but seems to have change. He definitely plays favorites to those who talk a lot and are "popular." He tends to pay more attention only to pretty girls or people with interesting stories to tell.
after every stupid joke he would tell, he would take a step forward then a step back with his hands behind his back! man o man he was one odd teacher
he's so cool! i like him a lot! he was very helpful and i luved that class cuz he always made jokes and stuff. i wish i still had him for spanish!
Lots of work that will sooner or later (hopefully sooner) pay off!
