She is rude, childish and only likes students from the "in crowd". I am so glad to hear she retired. She treated me like garbage when I was in her class in 2001 - 2002. I was a good student too. She just didn't like me. I am happy to hear more kids do not need to go through what I went through.
Picks favorites - I was one of the lucky ones, but hated her attitude regardless. She gossips about/picks on the students she doesn't deem worthy enough to include in her clique. I would say be careful, but it seems she is retired!
It's a good thing she retired because I could probably get her into a lot of trouble if she was still teaching. She started giving me A's because I kept on asking her how I could improve my papers.
Challenges you to have an open mind.she's not afraid to praise her favorites but savor her wisdom and insight she has into literature. you won't always find "perfect" profs at colleges. get used to it
Discriminatory and showed no genuine interest in helping students succeed. Discussed improper personal matters, bitter, and anything but fair.
i can't believe she's gotten good ratings if she acts like she does outside of class. she is very rude and just plain mean. seems mad at the world.
I have learned more in her class than I have in any other class, and I've had so much fun in her class.
Merill decides on day number one who are the "cool" kids, and relentlessly mocks all of the others.
I've learned more from Merrill in one semester than the rest of my institutionalized life combined when it comes to English.
