Years after high school and college - I tend to remember Mrs. Altland from time to time. She was a devoted mentor to the students who were WILLING and ABLE to succeed.

Even though I've graduated, I still hold Mrs. Altland as among the worst teachers I've ever had. She made me cry.

She was just the best. Get to know her on a personal level and she'll be a mentor for life. I am in college now and she still emails me weekly to see how I am!
