Mrs. Patton is more like a classroom advisor than a teacher. Her teaching is confusing, she barely even knows what she says talking about, she makes mistakes with her math, and she never explains anything clearly. I'd recommend switching if you have her to save yourself the pains of dealing with her class.
She doesn't explain the material, so you basically have to teach yourself. Her tests and quizzes aren't incredibly difficult, but you need to practice the problems to do well. However, she does stay after quite a lot, and is very open to questions. But there have been days where she just puts the answer key to the HW on the projector, she spends the entire period doing nothing. She also frequently leaves the classroom randomly, with no explanation, and can be gone for up to 10 min. rate 3/10
If you are capable of teaching yourself/figuring out most of the math yourself, then you won't have a problem, and she typically makes herself available so that you can ask questions when you get stuck. Otherwise, I recommend switching. Her lessons are never clear, she'll do problems wrong, tests are harder and longer than she prepares you for, and she'll admit to taking needless points off of assignments but refuse to give them back because "It's not that big a deal."
If you have her for Algebra 2A, I apologize. Unless you're mentally prepared to teach yourself every lesson. Switch. Now. If you enjoy not being able to finish your tests and taking 4 page quizzes go right ahead and request her as a teacher. Nice lady, but be prepared to correct her on positive and negatives, Yes I'm serious.
Mrs Patton is so so confusing. She's nice but messes up a lot and tells you the wrong stuff. Bad teaching method
She tries. But, truthfully, she is poor at teaching. Sometimes it felt like she scrambled to learn a lesson quickly before class because her knowledge on a topic was so devastating. Prepare to be ready to teach yourself everything. I got an A though.
Powerpoint powerpoint is all she uses! awful teaching style... doesnt realize if students are missing....
she can be confusing at times but she is always willing to help those with questions
Can be unclear but Mrs. patton honestly attempts to explain herself. She gives hw every night and we often end five minutes before the bell. Her tests are very hard and often a q will be on it that we did not go over in class, which is very frustrating. She is understanding though and willing to stay after for help. Her notes are unorganized and I would recommend taking your own out of the text b. She is a very nice person however and always asks how we're doing.
can be very boring and not the best at explaining things but is very willing to stay after for extra help
ms patton is so vague. she always makes mistakes on the board and says its because she's too tired. takes points off tests if did the steps wrong even if you get the right answer.
If u dont talk then shell like u and u will be fine for yr grade
she's a really good teacher and so easy. you don't have to listen but take notes occasionally and you're set. but she hates when u play graph. calc games
dont disrupt the class, and shell like you, she does try to simplify the concept, but dont expect algebra to be exciting.
Makes algebra easy. You learn a ton in her class. Although it can get a little on the dull side.
Mrs. Patton is one of the nicest teachers I've had. It's easy to get good grades for me. She's favorable though.
She can't explain thing without confusing people and se can't spell!
i dont like ms patton cause she is sooo boring and is horrible at explaining things and overcomplicates everything
She's nice, but she makes thing little harder than they need to be
A little new at teaching, but I give her credit. Good with her math. Sometimes unorganized, but a good person at heart. Always in a good mood.
She is nice enough yet she can be really hard to understand! Alot of people dont understand and grasp Algebra's concepts the same way that she does
