as a person she is OK, but she teaches way too fast and is unwilling to slow down because my class is a "honors class" but I've been in honors classes all my life and never have I ever had a teacher who went so fast with us and gave such a ridiculously hard test. I got my first C in her class and I was just horrified. And if she doesn't have time to rush through a lesson she decides not to it at all and expects you to teach it to yourself as if we're the ones who are getting paid to teach
When I got to Calc I struggled so much and really had a hard time adjusting to Mrs. Martin. I got my first C in her class, and had to get a tutor to clarify things that I wasnt quite getting in class. And still couldnt pull off an A in her class. I was so nervous for the IB exam and repeatedly asked her to switch out. But she promised everything would be ok. I took my exam with no confidence and actually got a 6. She really prepared me. Best Teacher ever if your are willing to never give up.
She caters to the people who are already amazing at math and that's it. I'm not dumb by any means, but I got my first C in her class. If you don't get something, she makes you seem stupid in front of the class. Obviously has favorites. She can be rude as a person as well sometimes. Needs to go and a new teaching degree (if she even has one to begin with).
This year, with a new teacher, I have an A. What a difference.
good teacher.. but very hard tests.. tries to help and is a very high level thinker and makes you you use your brain...
Probably the best math teacher a student could ask for...keeps you busy and entertained...IB exams were easy because of her
Ms. Martin is a really REALLY good teacher... I miss her SO much! She's very personable and knows her subject extremely well. If you pay attention and keep up with your studies you will pass the IB exam with flying colors....
Definitely the best math teacher I've ever had! I'm learning so much in her class, much more than in studies one with Ward
I've heard the woman is nice, if you are in IB. If you're MSE-IB, you still have to fulfill the IB requirements, but it's not like she'll tell you about them or actually care what happens to you. Her response to when we'd get our internal assessment topics was "eventually." At the very least, her job is to tell us what we have to do. I've even seen her outside class, get nothing except vague nonsense. She's the only person on the math faculty who I don't like.
i <3 ms martin!!! thanks for getting me a seven on mm/your awesome rec that got me into HARVARD!!!
She's the best math teacher at the school. Actually makes me enjoy coming to math first thing in the morning. Keeps me awake, and understands her kids. Plus she was a cheerleader. Ask her to do a cheer. lol.
coolest and best math teacher on the planet! so much fun! plus, she loves football! where's bad??
i really like ms martin!! she's probably the best teacher i've ever had!
She excells like no other at teaching math. As long as you do your part, you're sure to get an A.
Too fast paced, even in non-honors or AP courses. Talks to fast so you miss too much. By the time you write it down, she's on a new topic. Hates questions.
Suzanne is a really nice woman. I had her for two years, she's one of the coolest teachers. You have to be a moron not to get an A in her class.
I love Suzanne. Easy work, A's on the tests, and a 7 on the exam.
Talks too fast for average learners, seriously she thinks we know the stuff already. if we did, would we be in your class?doesn't facilitate fair internaction
