When I was a Sophomore and taking Graphic Design, we had an exchange student from Africa who had never even used a computer before in his life. Ms Boettcher sat him next to me, and expected me to babysit him. I did it back then because I was told to, but looking back on this, it was completely unfair. It interfered with my ability to get my own work done, and she didn't put in any effort to help him at all since she "assigned" me to do it.

Ms. Boettcher is kind of harsh and grating, but I took her class all 4 years and I knew she genuinely liked me as a person and wanted me to succeed, and I feel very prepared for a career in G.D.

Despite being an art class her projects are usually limiting when it comes to creativity til later in the year. She sucks at grading, she is more like a critic than a teacher.

If you take her class, the one thing, besides endless packet reading, you have to get past is her voice. It is very loud and annoying. Get on her good side, or she'll make sure you regret it.
