She KNOWS what she's teaching, but she just doesn't really teach. She'll have 90 minutes of class time, an hour will be spent on reviewing past homework, 25 minutes on who knows what (berating students, etc.), and in the last 5 minutes, she crams the entire calculus lesson in and expects everyone to understand.
Also, she takes forever to grade (but you do get to look over things with the key in class).

Takes a ton of time grading and picks on minor, unimportant details. If you don't follow her method you fail the class.
Makes us take the long, stupid method in solving math.

Yes she is pretty chill and all but she does not grade anything! I got my test score 3 months after taking it! I had her for algebra and algebra was easy for me but other students in there were struggling with it because she didn't teach us very well. I don't recommend her.

I can't deny that she is a super super super slow grader. Especially for calculus students, test grades always come very late after the tests. Comparing to Mrs. Rendu, the other calculus teacher at NHS, Mrs. Trank is better at explaining concepts rather than walking you through the solving process. It requires basic math skills to get an A in her class. Although Mrs. Trank is very helpful, try to be as prepared as you can, that means preview, before going to her class, and it's going to help!

I graduated in 1998, and I'm still waiting for my first midterm grade today. I had to retake calculus because I had no grade for it on my transcript for colleges.

DOES NOT CARE!!! She takes forever to grade, and doesn't post things until the very last possible minute. Promises help to students any time, but then doesn't show up. She's very fond of having subs, and then doesn't bother to clarify information. She goes on and on about her personal life, then punishes the class for wasting time, when it is her wasting time. Good luck if you have this crazy woman.

She moves slower than a thousand year old turtle. She never grades test before she gives out the next one. Students have no idea of what kinds of mistakes they make and can't improve. She always has excuses, such as she has to focus on teaching calculus and she has no time no correct tests for other math classes, or she has problems with her family so again she can't grade the tests on time. I suggest IUSD should pay her a year later too and simply blame on the focus of the budget.

I loved Mrs. Trank!! She teaches calculus very, very well & gives you a solid foundation for higher math. Just disregard some of the negative reviews and rumors about her, and go to her class with an open mind. You'll learn a lot more.

TAKES HALF THE FREAKING SEMESTER TO GRADE TESTS!!! I had a 96 last week but my real grade could be a 94 or even a 89!!!! Bottom line: If you want to keep your 4.0, don't go to this class. She doesn't teach much, and is very lazy
