I was a student at Bishop Ahr from 1993 to 1997 and I remember she is the very embodiment of the phrase 'fair but firm.' As long as you do what she asks of you, you'll retain more knowledge than you realize you are, and of all the classes I took there, hers is the closest to a college level class. I was in her GORGEOUS daughter's grade, and the only reason I never asked Jenn out, was because as much as I liked her mom and her class, I couldn't get past the fear of her being my mother-in-law! ;-)
In all honesty I have always disliked history. There is always far too much memorization, but Mrs. Storipan makes the class much more interesting and she is so kind. She is a real college prep teacher in the sense that she teaches as if we are college students which means she expects students to study and review and make notes on their own as well as the notes we take in class, which is fair. Students that have an issue with her class will not survive in college. No doubt my favorite teacher
I really loved US History with Mrs. Storipan, she just come off as strict and standoffish but she's actually very nice and helpful if you get to know her.
I actually like Ms. Storipan a lot more than I thought I would. Her class is pretty hard and the tests are extremely difficult, but if you do the current events daily and do well on the projects and debates then it will be fine
She really isn't that bad. Theres a lot worse. All you need to do is make sure you get your work done and do current events daily. The tests are sometimes easy and sometimes hard, but missed points
She doesnt really teach she just sits there and goes through topics really fast without notes. But I guess that prepares you for all the lectures in college. She is fair and shes a pretty nice person
Mrs. Storipan is a great teacher. She definatly prepares us for college life. Or at least if you have her in an honors class. Just be good and make sure you participate a lot!
this is my second year with her. she prepares you for college by doing the learning on your own.. she is difficult. just do your work and you're set. i love her
in the same respect...shes alright i guess..shes very nice and is a pretty good teacher..
Plays favorites and makes you do all the learning on your own, can be nice and can be mean, if you get her just say what she wants to hear
"In the same respect"...Mrs. Storipan's class was kinda boring but she's super nice and one of my faves!!
Despite your view on the class itself, which is open to your bias of history to begin with, she is one if not the most fair and just teachers in the school.
Okay, so she's QUITE boring and says "hey,..." and "we're going to see..." a LOT. She is still extremely fair and professional...something lacking in most teach
she was awesome. she was there for me during times she didn't have to be. give her a chance.
she was awesome. had her for honors and she was definately one of the coolest teachers.
i had her last year...she was awsome...hard...but taught me a lot
I had her for honors last year and she loved our class. Whoo! 3rd period forever. But she was kind of hard because she didn't curve my high C+
At first I was a bit intimidated..now I enjoy the class. I've learned alot..just do your work and current events and you'll be fine in this class.
I didn't really like her b4 Christmas break. Once we came back she was a new person. She is so nice to me now and even calls me sweetie! She got easier!
you teach yourself!! She makes you take your own notes, and just reviews over what you read on your own. she's only there to give you a test and grade you hard.
at first i didnt like her, but she is a very good teacher, she's mean tho. do u have the powers of osmosis?
She can't read from a book, or a sheet of paper, and that bothers me a lot.
Very good teacher. we get a lot of work in her class but we do learn the stuff
