Scary guy, terrible hw policy (one group member does the work and the three others copy the night before it's due since he randomly collects one assignment per group). Seriously, just self-study APUSH or wait until college.

He knows his stuff, and I enjoyed his lectures. I had him for APUSH and AP Psychology. It's funny because he sometimes gives life lessons, but when he says "you guys need to do X Y and Z", he's directly addressing the super-intelligent Asian students. If you're Mexican or some other descent, just keep your head down and power through his class.

He's not exactly the easiest teacher and his workload is both long and difficult - the summer homework takes a lot of time to complete. However, his lectures are pretty helpful (APUSH) and I did learn a lot from his class. Mr. Luong is a chill teacher although he does try to intimidate his students in a way.

I dont like the way he throws papers at people... literally. Its disrespectful. He has a bad temper, but is unbelievably forgiving towards his favorites. I learned a lot from taking his ap psych class but I would not choose to have him as a teacher!

Luong plays favorites more than any teacher I have ever met. It's normal to play favorites, but it's terrible that he treats his nonfavorites like dirt. He insults you and it feels like he's personally attacking you. Yet he's so nice to students he likes. He's either a teacher you love or hate.

very difficult tests. ap psychology class is useless and very boring. unclear with lectures. doesn't follow the textbook to lecture. basically you're studying on your own for his tests. i can study at home by myself . he has attitude and mood swings.

He shows favoritism and has sick mood swings. He's constantly screaming during his lectures when he honestly doesn't need to yell to be heard. He's a good teacher but his tests are insanely hard.

Definitely one of the better teachers at Mark Keppel High School. However, not an easy A class. I've had him for psych and world history honors. He makes you do a lot of critical thinking.

HIS TESTS ARE TOO NUANCED, IF YOU DON'T LIKE READING CAREFULLY, YOU'LL STILL EASILY PASS THE AP BUT NOT HIS TESTS. HE IS RATHER HARSH WITH KIDS EVEN THOUGH HE CAN BE NICE. HE HAS HIS BIASES TOO.
