"The human ear craves novelty"
I absolutely love Mr. Boates. Sophomore year of symphony I was totally scared to him, but when he and his wife got divorced he became a lot happier. Now I'm a senior and have him for symphony and AP Music Theory and although he has high expectations, he's really not a bad teacher and knows a lot. Everyone should take symphony instead of rep.
He is overly sarcastic and rude. He expects respect from his students, however, he does not give his students any respect. His "constructive criticism is demeaning." He is a great musician, but teaching high school students is not the right job for him.
MR BOATES IS COOL AND NICE AND FUNNY BUT IS KIND OF STRICT BUT FINE AND HE KNOWS A LOT AND TEACHES US THINGS ABOUT MUSIC EMAIL UR REPLY BACK ASAP
He hates us strings and he trys to make coments but can't make us laugh he favors the band a lot more than us strings
Mr. Boates is great. He's efficient and effective. He knows SO much about music in general, and though not always the most friendly, he's overall a nice guy.
He hates strings and when we have full orchestra he favors the band what is up with that? well he is a trobone player that should teach the band and not the orchestra!
he's a good person and tries to be funny.. he understands kids and is a good teacher, although he plays trombone and teaches strings.
Mr. Boates hates all the strings and freshman!! He favors all the other instruments though... A trombone player should not teach orchestra! He doesn't know what he's talking about.
Incredible educator. His trombone playing is unmatchable by any stretch of the imagination. Sensationally enthusiastic in jazz band, really knows his stuff.
mr. boates is the greatest and coolest teacher on the planet. he is so fun. Go BoSox!
Great teacher... he really wants his kids to succeed and he is a good person...
