Honestly, Mr. Riley is a pretty decent teacher, other than the fact that when I took his class, he gave no clear explanations on how to the homework and gives out detention like crazy. I think his finals and tests are a bit hard if you don't extra studying for his class - like going on youtube and self-studying from other textbooks. Overall this class is pretty decent, but you should get ahead in the summer if you didn't have a good math grade last year.
Riley's tough but fair.
Good teacher. Helpful and clear.
Funniest teacher in Keppel.
You won't have a problem with him uless you'rea crappy student.
Best teacher ever.
Sooo salty. He gets pissed off at everything. He assigns homework that we haven't been taught to do. His tests are so hard.; He loves to give detentions.
At first he may be seen as the cringiest and scariest old man you have ever met in your entire life, however most of the times he cares about his students, he assigned a lot of homework but there is a reason for that, with more practice students can be most flexible in terms of doing problems in real tests such as SAT math problems, which are very standardized.
I don't know about the students who are failing his class, but he's actually rather nice to the students who are doing well and try in his class. He's VERY strict, but not mean at all! If you ask him a question he won't be lazy and actually try to help. He can also be kind of scary sometimes, but I think he's a good person! He says he'll give you a 0 on the pop quiz if you are tardy that day, but my friend was late and he just didn't count it :)
Mr. Riley is getting undeserved ratings (probably from students who failed his class). He is a great teacher as long as you don't screw up. Pay attention in class, do your homework, and don't get him mad. I passed his class easily with 95%+ on his finals both times (without studying).
I really hate to be in his clas always dont understand what he says
make sure u know everything he taught on that day. He always reviews the next day and he calls people by random to do problems or ask you how to do problems. If you don't know how to do it. HOO HOO you are in for it HAHA.
useless and hard to understand. gives way too much homework, but rarely enough time to go over it.
he's too picky, cant teach, assigns way too much homework
He knows math and he can be clear when teaching. However, if you don't get something, he bullies you. I wouldn't have a problem if he would be less hateful towards his students. He's a bully who shouldn't be a teacher. If you don't get something he'll smirk or roll his eyes or belittle you in some way. I hope the principle realizes this someday and fires him.
His sense humor is cold. Extremely picky. Completely non understanding. Not helpful. If you dont get something the first time, he'll give you a look or roll his eyes.
He always makes fun of people, but he is a pretty good teacher.
stop copy your friend homework. just do your s^%$%. learn it Bi%$.
you wont like it now, but later when u think about it, ull understand it
he's a pretty good teacherr, but pretty harsh and even when I have good reasons for being late or even a note from a parent or another teacher he does not accept it. HOWEVER he can teach really well.
He works you to the bone and yells at the smallest mistakes, but overall he does teach but sometimes it wont make sense. Not the best but is still fairly good.
Good teacher but work hard in his class. Makes you cry sometimes but overall he's a nice guy that cares. Dont goof off. Join math club to get 2% grade increase!
C/O 2000.. One of the best teachers I had in hs. People only say he's mean because they can't get the math down. He's a great teacher and is demanding because he cares.
Had him for summer school geometry. Is mean to some of his students, not everyone. Good at teaching though.
I hated his class. Looking back, he's respectable andhard teacher w/ high expectations. Better than a teacher w/ low expectations right? all this is coming from a person who got a D in geom. honors!
favor students that stand out and be extremely aggressive against students who get bad grades even if they try.
Mr Riley is cool. He might b strict but it really helps. He seems scary, specially 1st day of skool but later on he wont seem that bad. PD he's very sarcastic sometimes
I had him for GeoH. Class was hard, but that was my fault. Just listen to what he says and ask questions. Don't come unprepared (material and mentally) or pay the price!
Very good teacher. Expects a lot from his students. Can be mean sometimes, but it's only for your own good.
hes a very good teacher, to me the strictest teachers are usually the best and he is pretty strict, however he is very clear and helps alot.
HE can be intimidating at times. Also, he can make you feel really stupid too. OTherwise, he's a very good geometry teacher. Just pay attention.
He actually does judge a person based on the assignment you miss. His sarcasm is witty, though, I'll give him that. He's generally nice - If he doesn't teach.
he's VERY SCARY! VERY mean!he hatez me.but at times he's nice to me becuz i was on the bball team.tlks to me bout bball.but wORst math teacher!
he is SOOOOOOOO mean and rude to his students, they shouldn't let people like him be around kids
He will always be a hard teacher, but he's the best when it comes to learning. Don't fear him. His sarcasm is very witty, but be sarcastic back. It's cool.
very high expectations. really mean to his students, always makin us feel bad!! hmm.. well if he doesnt like me.. then SCREEEEWWW HIMMMM!!!!
Expect us to know it before teaching, hard to communicate
Mr. Thomas Riley is the only teacher I know who judges the character of a person based on one homework assignment.
