Jacob Thomas is by far the best English teacher at NHS. He is extremely smart, very approachable and really knows his stuff. Thomas teaches in a away that encourages students to really think and to grow as individuals. Thomas also provides students the opportunity to discuss papers and correct them afterwards. This is great because with his guidance you really can improve. Thomas is just an all around cool and interesting guy. My only regret is not putting more effort into his class.

Mr. Thomas knows what he's talking about he's really good at LEADING you to what you need to discover which makes it more interesting and fun. I got a 4 on the exam and the class itself was pretty easy. It got harder later in the year once he caught on that people were taking it as a joke, but it was still completely managable. He's a funny guy that's easy to talk to and go to for help or anything. I got through the class with like 94 for the year and I only read 1 or 2 books during the year

Got a 5 on the exam with him (as did many others who had him). Great teacher.

Mr. Thomas is one of the best, if not THE best English teacher. I have never done so well in English before (and this is AP Language...). Not only is he a very, very easy teacher, but he knows his stuff too. He knows what he's talking about and does his best to prepare you for the exam. My concern is that he might be TOO easy that the exam may be viewed as difficult. Nonetheless, a great guy who offers opportunities to fix essays and is very lenient with late work. No complaints about him.
