I took his basic theory class way back and was the only entering freshman in my school to ever pass out of the first year of theory. Nice guy and extremely talented pianist too!
Tim Murner is the man, the best teacher I had at Manual. Took Harmony and Counterpoint II at MIT, and it was a total joke thanks to Mr. Murner and his excellent teaching. Knows his stuff! (Berklee grad)
Its not the easiest class but if you have any talent, you'll pass. He cant cope with people who talk a lot or cause trouble but its a good laugh when he attempts to control them...
Mr. Murner is really nice, although his AP music theory class is a bear
i really like mr.murner.of course you wouldnt take the class unless you plan on doing music in college- its an AP class.a lot of work.i have spent many an hour doing hw. but it is worth it.he is great.i am learning A LOT
Mr. Murner is the coolest man that ever walked this earth. His class is not easy but you learn a lot....LIVE ON THE LAND OF THE MURNERIANS!!!!
Plays favorites, can't deal with troublemakers, does not help students who are behind/don't understand the material. Don't bother with the class unless you will majoring in music in college.
I've always thought he was pretty cool. He gets a little uptight sometimes, but he teaches well. He's never flipped out. That's a plus.
smart guy, clear lessons, but lots of work for my music theory class. you either get it or you don't. plays favorites, but who doesn't?
