This guy used to be a scientist so he clearly knows what he's talking about. But he is a scientist not a teacher and its very evident. He just does problems on the white board and doesnt explain anything. Gives tons of homework and checks it all for correctness. I hear his extra help is useful but i wouldnt want to spend any extra time with him. He did catch me cheating once and just threw it under the rug which is acually really nice. Nice Guy, Knows his stuff, doesnt really know how to teach

Dr. Stoller is competent, but he wants you to help yourself- if you want to pass the class, read the textbook, do all of the problems, and go on chemteam if you truly need it. Other than his exams, I like the class.

He would be a great guy to hang out with, and he knows a lot about Chemistry, but he is simply not a good teacher. He does not articulate well, and his "Celebrations of Learning" (tests) are too long for the majority of students to finish.
Another problem (which most teachers have), is that he is prone to take off a random amount of points for the same mistake, simply based on if he likes you or not. Avoid having him if you prefer Honors science in your Junior year.

If you do the homework and ask him questions then you will learn. Most people do not so they say he is a bad teacher but he isn't. His tests are hard because he makes you learn how to do basic problems as second nature and apply basic info to advanced problems.

He tries I will give him that, but that's about it. All he does is read from the textbook and give ridiculously hard exams plus the whole mole dollar thing is a waste you can't do anything with them. If you miss one day you are forever doomed in his class plus he is the most picky teacher ever. If you want my honest opinion it is not impossible to learn from him he just makes it hard to do remotely well and refuses to help you even if you reach out to him.

The class is downright impossible if you don't go for extra help. After school he is a pretty cool guy and is willing to help. He did kick me out of class once for asking a question though...

Nice guy, teaching is up to par, but many essays need to be redone, which is total nonsense. He takes off for too many things. Tests are fair. Overall, its a good class. Moles seem to dominate his personality

He seriously tries his hardest to make you fail, if you get everything right on a test, he'll go back and find some errors so that you dont get a 100.
