He is absolutely fantastic. In the beginning of the year, I hated him. But he is approachable, understanding, explains things well and hilarious. He likes it when people participate and ask questions, and you'll need to ask questions—his class is one of the hardest I have ever taken, but I have grown so much in my readin' and (w)ritin' that it's all worth it. As long as you're motivated and engaged his class is absolutely amazing.

Ok I do not understand how people are talking badly about Borden. I am personally not a big English person, but Borden is freaking amazing. Dry sarcastic humor that makes me laugh so much. I LOVE this teacher. You will have to put in effort but it is doable. Everything he says is very purposeful even when it doesn't seem like it. I have never had a better English teacher.

Mr. Borden is sarcastic to students, speaks badly about school programs, and is not helpful when you ask for it.

Mr. Borden is a great teacher. His class can get challenging but that's the best part. I've learned a lot more than I ever thought I would. He gives you grades you deserve. If you complain and don't do work you can't ask for a great grade. If you try, ask questions and show intrest you'll be rewarded with a good grade. Don't be intimidated by his class. Use it as a push for your own learning. His class will help you grow as great students. Hard work pays. Always keep that in mind.

Hate him. Transfer out immediately. So hard you will never get sleep. I got one night to write a 30 paragraph paper.

Mr. Borden is a very good teacher, but his class is hard. Be prepared for weekly vocabulary quizzes based off of SAT words. His literary quizzes take a while to get used to, but as the year goes on it will get easier. Mr. Borden has a British sense of humor, full of sarcasm that is sometimes lost on his students. He really does appreciate hard workers and they are rewarded with top grades.

Wonderful teacher! 9 G/T class very good. By far best freshman English teacher. Be sure to take his 110 class as a Junior or Senior. From his classes you will learn the importance of responsibility!

Did not like this teacher or his class much. He could be funny at times, though in a sarcastic sort of way. Did not like his grading system either and he did not go out of his way to do his job well.

Good teacher, but very hard. I transferred out halfway through and regretted it. Brigng crayons to class, don't be late or skip EVER, and ask him to write Haikus for extra credit. Good insight.
