Inspiring! His passion for books is contagious.
Thomas Fair was a great teacher for me. At first, he might seem intimidating, but he is strict because he wants his students to try. He has fairly lenient office hours and is always happy to talk about upcoming assignments. He is also knowledgeable about all the subjects covered in class and never seems overwhelmed.
One who does not enjoy strict teachers might reconsider taking his class. However, if you're looking for a good teaching experience, he can definitely provide it.
Hes a good 'fair' teacher who isnt too arogant as poeple say
Always willing to help. very nice person. Class is straight lecture so kinda boring but he is pretty funny if you listen to him
I had him for both my Junior and Senior years. If you have a problem listening to lectures, I don't recomend him. But I think he's really funny if you listen to him. He definitelly got me through APs
he is an awesomazing teacher. he's such a brilliant man. those of you who think he's impersonal, probaby don't even try to talk to him
Very knowlegable and quite funny when he wants to be. Class is mostly monotone lecture, but get to know the guy and participate in the discussions and the class is pretty good.
you definatly have to have a long attention span but besides that i think he is a brillant teacher and is pretty funny once you get to know him
Sort of boring. Very monotonistic, but knows what he is talking about. Don't take the class too early, or if you do bring caffiene because you NEED to hear what he is saying.
He knows everything about English. He's nice but his class can get really boring. Sometimes when explaining things, he goes off on tangents and you get lost. Otherwise, he's great.
Incredibly boring and impersonal. I would avoid his class at all costs!
He's very intelligent but his class can get very boring
