I must say that I've thoroughly enjoyed having Tom Spilsbury as my teacher. He has been incredibly helpful for me this year (I'm not an A math student, but with his help this year I've moved up from a B/B to an A-/A, pretty much consistently. He is always willing to meet with you after class if what he said didn't make sense the first time. He is imaginative in the ways in which he explains the material (if you don't understand it at first, he'll try as many different approaches as it takes).
his voice is quite soothing and nice. dont be tired in his class. easy to skip ahead in the book.
He tries hard and is earnest (and that's kind of endearing)... but he can't teach math.
He can be very confusing, but he tries very hard and individuals does beautifully. He helped me out a lot in math.
didn't seem to know the material, taught out of the book and not well, was incredibly dull in class.
I don't understand why most people seemingly dislike this teacher. Perhaps he's not the most engaging in class, but I think he does help those who accept it.
