He has OCD and wants everything to be perfect, well, nobody us perfect. He annoys you, makes you do things that you don't want to do, and makes classtime so much boring. I havent had his journalism class yet but I don't recommend him!
Mr. Li is a teacher who cares for his student's future & their choices, hence teaches Baby Steps-which students take for granted. He speaks thoroughly& tries to get his students get the main idea and say it. The essays were hard to get a B on & I was in his regular class. But i did manage to get a 102% with extra credits, A's on test, & homework. Please take advantages on extra credits. Honor class--I'm sorry but you guys don't have a chance. save yourself!
Mr. Li is such a great teacher. He is clear on his grading so you will know what you need to do to get an A in his class. Although his quizzes are difficult, his tests are fairly easy and you can work hard and get extra credit. He is a very fair teacher and doesn't only teach English but he teaches life skills. If you want an A in his class it is very possible if you work hard. Overall a very down to earth teacher and I definitely enjoyed class with him.
Mr. Li's class was very interesting. He's not an amazing teacher, but he's definitely weird which keeps his class interesting. His quizzes are extremely difficult, but his tests are pretty easy. He gives a lot of extra credit which will definitely boost your grade in the class. His in-class essay topics aren't that bad, but he gives students very little time to complete the essay. He has extremely high standards for an essay and most students get C's or D's.
Mr. Li is the homie for life. He's taught us that double-bubbling, triple-bubbling, and quadruple-bubbling is totally unnecessary. Don't listen to anyone who says Mr. Li is weird, because he only does it for us to remember his material. Remember to copy the brown because it will be an essential life skill later in life. His "Light Shows" are inspirational and he puts on the best music to inspire us. Also, he has the best dancing moves, ask him about them.
Although a lot of students dislike Mr. Li, I believe he is good teacher and has good intentions. Even though he can sound confusing and awkward, it's just his character. The fact that he is devoted into teaching is students is what's important. He may teach us study skills that are not related the English, but those study skills are what help you improve in that class and other classes when studying for tests and quizzes. The only thing annoying about him is his mumbling and repetitive words.
I agree with you. According to Mr Li's freedom forum rules we are supposed to build on the same idea which is how Mr Li is amazing. But the September 13th guy didn't follow Mr Li's rule. Therefore I believe he hates Mr li because he never followed his rules and was hated by mr. Li. Please like if you agree with my comment. I also want to thank mr. Li for teaching me freedom forum skills.
i believe person who wrote about mr. li on sep 13, 2015 is a reterd.
Mr. Li is a very peculiar person. He often does weird and unnecessary reenactments of parts of a play or a story. Just last week he threw himself onto the ground yelling "DEATH." He often gives unnecessarily hard tests that he himself probably wouldn't pass and during our Socratic seminar which he calls "Freedom Forum" he talks so much that we think he is grading himself and he makes sure he gets an A. I would not recommend himself for the reason that he gives busy work. Mr. Li is a bad teacher.
Although Mr. Li is OCD, a control freak, and prone to random yelling while reading text. He is definitely a good teacher. I can see why some kids don't like him, not great on first impressions. But he'll warm up to you. His quizzes are extremely hard if you don't know what to study, but he does tell us what to study. It's just most students don't pick up the clues. He is one of the most Bizarre teachers I have ever had, but also a person you can't sum up with a few words.
STUDY! This is a class you actually have to try in. It's easy to earn an A if you really, really try. Memorize for his quizzes. He goes over what'll be on quizzes/tests, but students let all that valuable information fly over their heads. If you think about it, Mr. Li is a hardworking and caring teacher. I admit, his class is stressing sometimes (ahem, essays). People complain, but all it takes to earn a good grade is some good ol' studying. Good luck students, and keep doing you, Mr. Li.
It is kind of hard to define Mr. Li. He seems greatly knowledgable, but he doesn't seem like he is teaching us all of his knowledge. He seems more strict about all the other stuff than the really most important stuff, but this is how you get an A in this class. Without all the useless stuff, you can never get an A because he is a strict essay grader and we take many quizzes which are extremely hard if you don't memorize everything. His multiple choice tests are easy. Good luck.
I believer Mr. Li is a great teacher.
He is awful. I can't stress enough how bad he is. All he does is mope around over and over on our quality of work and other stuff. I hate him.
I dont why everyone is complaining. This man is really hilarious and knows how to engage the whole cla$s with comedy. Everyone has to play attention in his clas$ for fear of embarra$sment and he's a great teacher with great knowledge of English. He makes me laugh. You may think he's annoying but his cla$s is never boring and he knows how to lighten up the day!!!!
He teaches by giving a lot of worksheets and packets, and depends on us to read the them to understand his class. He also grades your homework, so you'll want to put your effort and put the correct answers. If you want a decent grade in his class, I highly suggest you do ALL of his homework. Miss one, then you can get a B or lower. His essays are also difficult because of the time limit, but his test are pretty easy as long as you study.
Half students hate him, the other half can put up with him. I'm sort of located in the middle. Mr.Li's a very organized (maybe too organized) teacher, despite the odd learning system he has. Just try
Has some OCD stuff going on, but otherwise an outstanding teacher who quite clearly loves his job. One of the ones you never forget.
good at teaching and he's nice :] good at controlling the class but sometimes overdoes the 'funny guy' stuff and is a bit ocd and hyper at times
he is awesome because of EC and relaly funny. however not flexible and super stubborn.
weird. always does this asain thing where he points to his mouth and goes "ah ah ah" any gum or candy please. however SO MUCH EXTRA CREDIT, like you wouldnt KNOW.
He has major OCD and he can freak you out a bit, but he's the nicest teacher ever.
Have him for Accolade. Doesn't care about what you write; does Acco for his own self enjoyment and forces staff to stay behind because he's too lazy to work when he needs to. Too stubborn to listen.
i think mr li is the wierdest teacher youll ever meet., but he is the easiest teacher and you can uundeerstand what he is teaching, i learned a lot in his class.
A complete control freak. He's the most meticulous teacher that ever existed. A wierdo as well. I in no way enjoyed his class. He was rather funny when he acted things out though, silly but funny.
Ever realize that the people giving good ratings are on the accolade? well i'm sorry, but if you're in his class you'll realize just how bad and how crappy of a teacher he is. He is waaay too stobern and i'm glad that i will never have to deal with him again. Seriously, ask anyone that has had him for an English teacher and they will tell you strait out that you never want to have him as a teacher.
he totally dedicates SOOO MUCH TIME to his students and the entire accolade staff... hes such an awesome teacher!
The best english teacher on campus. Accolade rocks also!
Mr. Li is awesome. Why does Accolade always sound the same style-wise? Uh, maybe cause it's supposed to--It's a newspaper. Ever notice how the LA Times always has the same style? A
Very stubborn and close-minded. When he graded essays, he always had to get it his way. Ever noticed how the Accolade sounds all the same stylewise? He over-edits everything.
aww.. i have to agree with a lot of these students. He was an awesome teacher and gave a lot of extra credit opportunities
I got a 101% in his class, and he never ask me if wanted to take the honor test. Heartbreaking. but a nice teacher
i just want you to understand that you are the worst teacher ever!!... that's all
