Vicky is not very helpful when it comes to something that you "should" know, she will most likely quip back with a "you should already know this" and then proceed to ignore you. This behavior led my classmate Jackson to ask me for literally every assignment cause he didn't understand it at all. Also she doesn't accept late work which leads people to fret and fail because they already have 4 assignents given to them. Her tests are actually quite easy if you study, they are pretty much another hw.
Mrs. Mayall's class is fast-paced. If you don't understand something you're kind of screwed because there's not many opportunities for asking questions or having discussions. That being said, this class is EXTREMELY formulaic. Every day you do the exact same thing and at the end of each unit there is a lab and a test. If you take this class, you are going to learn about chemistry, whether you like it or not. Overalll, not the most exciting of classes, but you definitely learn a lot.
She was the best chem teacher I ever had, she's so organized and the hw is straightforward.
She's the best, she knew when we were having trouble with the material so she would hold after school sessions to help us. She's very organized with the notes, homework, and the learning material. Being in college, the notes I took in her class are still very helpful. Not the Prof. Statler isn't a good prof, because he is.
Unwilling to help students if she feels you should already know it. The class is so fast paced that there is no time for questions. she only teaches by making you take notes and if you miss one thing that shes saying, you will fail the homework assigned that night. do not take this class!!!
My chemistry teacher Vicky Mayall is organized, concise, and fun to do chemistry with and to learn from. She provides notes that I still use in chem 2010! I'm a pre-med major and her class and the way she teaches will never be repaid.
Vicky Mayall is the best teacher I have ever had. I took Honors and AP Chemistry with her. Her organization is outstanding and she respects the class while expecting the same from her students. She is by far the most consistent teacher at East High and you can tell that she puts hours and hours of effort into teaching. I learned to love chemistry in her class.
She is very organized and very good about teaching you everything you need to know! Even though she is very strict if you doing what you should you should be fine. She is one of my favorite teachers.
she is always in a bad mood and she takes it out on us. if we don't understand the homework she gets mad that we didn't ask questions, then we do and she flips
