Easily my favorite teacher of all time. More than any other teacher he demanded that we developed our ability to think critically, both in our literature, and in our understanding of the world around us. Also, I met my wife in his class! Thank you!
I hope this is the same Mr. Hooper I had way back in 1971-1974 because he WAS the best teacher I ever had. I SO enjoyed English with him. My goodness, it's been 33 years!
Loved him. Absolutely the best teacher I have ever had. When I was in Eng Lit, he had signs saying, "No Mastication". Loved him so much I was his TA the following year. Brilliant!
attention scholars...lol...he's really funny...i liked him, although he forgets wat we're doing sometimes and it can be boring in his class, you just need to bond with him.
I had Hooper is 1982 or 83. When I him for English, he expected the best from me. My former step-daughter was in dummy (non-PC) English(1993) & she got away with poor work.
He's funny, but rarely lectures thoroughly with the reading assignments.Just have to read alot in his class.Easyyy A
zillionz of reading, pretti much no hw though.. getting an A in his class isnt TAT hard but then read, read, read! didnt reli teach~ but he's funny and cool. he's forgetful though!
HELLO FELLOW SCHOLARS GOOD WORK, HOOPER YOU ARE A MEDIOCRE(I LEARNED THIS WORD FROM HOOPER) TEACHER. EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE A OKAY PERSON,YOU CLASS IS ODD. QUIZES
Scholars, get as many points as possible in his class from the reading quizzes. Lots of reading required. Do the work. An interesting, weird and funny man.
had him last year. very into the whole lit. thing.. learned a lot of vocab. kinda not organized but still a cool teacher.
Had his class two years ago. He was a fine teacher. You could make up bad quizzes with good participation score unless the top person is also good at partic.
Mr. Hoopeer is one good teacher who should consider teaching in college, cuz it is really a waste of good potential.
I had him 7 years ago and he inspired me to go to Harvard. He makes you read because reading is important and all you do in College. Rock on scholars!!!!
I had Mr. Hooper back in the 70's. He was an amazing teacher. In my own classroom, I find "Hooperisms" like calling my lit students scholars!
Very energetic when it comes to literature. Mr. Hooper have high expections of his students by giving reading assignments and quiz on it the next day.
he's weird and the people who don't do anything always get the better grades. unfair and looks exactly like robin williams and acts like him too
he is one weird teacher, but very entertaining sometimes. very funny, but sometimes he can be very boring.
Robin williams with his weinstein lectures, great teacher who is very hard. "Good afternoon scholars, you may read"!
Let's read scholars!! I do not know thats good or bad, trying to be Robin Williams?
he is very cool and i like reading so that's why i like his class.. he is nice and HE DOES NOT LOOK LIKE ROBIN WILLIAMS.. you are lucky if you have him. cool!
easy class, every day is reading... a lil too much even for me.
Looks just like Robin Williams. Class is pretty easy, just bring your book. You also get an extra 20 minutes of SSR everyday at the beginning of his class. Good stuff
Nice guy, definitely funny, but he never planned on teaching? We had a mock-trial and the rule was anything goes. Kids who knew nothing about law made up non-existant witnesses (although, you don't have to be a lawyer to know you can't make up a witn
ROBIN WILLIAMS!! Very unique person. Gets very excited about english and literature. Always full of energy and wants students to enjoy literature. Class isnt hard at all, but you learn alot. --c/o 2002
interpertation of literature is very helpful, but in class SSR is too long.
Amen on the Robin Williams thing! Really did justice to the word scholars. Loved the class;he really enlightened me. Besides, he gave me an A.
MR.HOPPER LOL! He would ask the WEIRDEST questions on his quizzes. No matter how well you read them, you'll never understand what he's asking for! However, he picked the BEST videos to show in class...really great!
Robin William's long lost twin! Go watch Dead Poet's Society (he shows it in class) and look at him. Can't remember what class I had him for, but LOTS of reading and quizzes. Look out for his bike and neon green gear. Really cool guy though.
